Windle Sparkshine is a gnome who stands outside the Silver Enclave in Dalaran.

Every day at 9:00 PM server, Windle walks around and lights the street lights of Dalaran with his wand. He enjoys his job so much that he sells Inv wand 02 [Windle's Lighter] so that others can experience the same joy.[1] In World of Warcraft: Legion, an image of his daughter Kinndy Sparkshine appears on top of the lights in memorial to her death at Theramore.

Windle and his wife, Jaxi, were the parents of Kinndy Sparkshine, the young apprentice to lady Jaina Proudmoore in Theramore Isle. Although they missed their daughter, Jaina often allowed Kinndy to visit Dalaran, as it was only a simple teleport spell away. When the Horde began threatening Theramore, Jaina stopped by the home of the Sparkshines and assured them she would do everything in her power to keep Kinndy safe.

However, Kinndy was one of those who died in the Attack on Theramore Isle. Jaina, the sole survivor, met with the Sparkshines at A Hero's Welcome and spent the evening talking with them. When Windle left to put the lights on, Jaina accompanied him. The Kirin Tor had granted Windle special permission to have a glowing image of a laughing Kinndy show up above the lamp posts when he lit them.

Letter from Windle Sparkshine[]

Upon completion of Inv chest cloth 30 [Twenty-Five Tabards], players receive the [Tabard of the Achiever] and the following letter.

Quite the Achiever

I couldn't help but to notice what a fine collection of tabards you've managed to collect over the seasons. You might as well add this one to your collection. It's simply been gathering dust in my wardrobe.

Quotes[]

Dalaran above Deadwind Pass

Something feels different here. The air is fine, but there's an odd feeling about.

Every since we arrived people have been acting strange. And I don't mean the dizzy heads still recovering from our trip, but more in the way people carry themselves and the occasional whispers floating about.

Legion invasion

I knew it! I could feel it!

Clear out the city, <name>! We have to hold them off!

Oh, hello, welcome to Dalaran. I tend to the lamps.

Gossip Windle, why doesn't my wand work on the lamp posts anymore?

Oh, yes, terribly sorry about that. I like to light the lamp posts myself, you see. It helps me.
Let's leave it at that, please.
