Modimus's hammer was the weapon of Modimus Anvilmar, the high king of Ironforge. When he died during the dwarven civil war the clans battled for control of the city. Many speculated what had become of the hammer. Recently a parchment had be found putting an end to the speculation. It said that Modimus's hammer had been broken into three pieces. During the chaos of the war, each clan had, in one way or another, managed to obtain one of the fragments.[1]
