Divine Plea is a paladin spell trained at level 44. It restores 10% of the paladin's total mana over 15 seconds, but reduces the paladin's healing output by 50% during that time. This spell is mainly used by Tankadins in order to restore mana, for example after an unexpected mana-burn. Holy paladins will not use this very much while healing in intense fights due the massive healing reduction.
Improvements
Talents
Protection
- [Shield of the Templar] reduces the cooldown of Avenging Wrath by 20/40/60 sec and Guardian of Ancient Kings by 40/80/120 sec. In addition, it causes your Divine Plea to generate 1/2/3 Holy Power.
Glyphs
- [Glyph of Divine Plea] (Major Glyph) causes Divine Plea to provide an additional 5% of the paladin's total mana.
Other
- As Divine Plea is percent-based it means the mana it restores increases proportionally with the paladin's mana pool. With this, one might say that any effect which increases the paladin's total mana also improves Divine Plea.
Patch changes
- Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Mana restored reduced to 10%, down from 25%. Cooldown increased to 2 min, up from 1 min. Is now learned at level 44 instead of 71. There are no longer any talents which affects it, and its sole glyph has been redesigned. Divine Plea in combination with [Guarded by the Light] (pre-4.0.1 effect) as been replaced by [Judgements of the Wise] as primary method for tanking paladins to generate mana during combat.
- Patch 3.1.0 (2009-04-14): Divine Plea can once again be dispelled.
- Patch 3.0.9 (2009-02-10): The amount healed by your spells is reduced by 50% (up from 20%), but the effect can no longer be dispelled.
