Tor'Watha is one of two forest troll areas of Eversong Woods. It is much larger than nearby Zeb'Watha. At its eastern ridge once sat a colossal fortress of some kind with a massive set of gates. The fortress was completely devoid of any inhabitants, and the forest trolls stayed in the camps below.

Speculation[]

Tor'Watha

The area prior to patch 4.0.3a

Questionmark-medium
This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.
  • This may be where the entrance to Zul'Aman was originally going to be, by evidence of a once glowing instance portal behind the gate which could barely be seen between the gaps in the wooden slats, and that the giant platform is briefly seen as a battleground on the Zul'Aman trailer.
  • The troll NPCs outside of the Tor'Watha gate were (and still are) all affiliated with the Amani Empire, leading to the possibility of the gate being a second entrance to the city/zone of Zul'Aman. Rather than being the "potentially original entrance", it could have been a second gate to the large zone we have seen in many maps over the years.
  • Considering how close Tor'Watha is to Zeb'Watha, only being divided by a river, they are possibly the same village. A village by the name of "Watha" where the prefixes Zeb' & Tor' describes which side of the river it's on. Perhaps in Zandali, Zeb' = West and Tor' = East. Thus, West Watha and East Watha. Watha then being the village to defend the outskirts of what might have been the second entrance to Zul'Aman. As mentioned in the speculation above.

Patch changes[]

  • Cataclysm Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): The large gateway structure has been removed and replaced with a grassy hill with trees.
The map, however, still contains the gateway icon.
  • Bc icon Patch 2.0.3 (2007-01-09): Added.
