In World of Warcraft, the gigantic wall is heavily damaged. In the Escape from Durnholde Keep instance of the Caverns of Time, the wall is in considerably better condition, but still quite a bit damaged.

There is no evidence or lore explaining the origin of the great wall, but some have supposed that King Thoradin built it ages past during the Troll Wars, perhaps to protect his lands from the trolls' onslaught; note that the ramps on the Hillsbrad Foothills side give defenders access to the top of the wall.

It does, however, seem quite unlikely that a wall this massive was built in a single king's lifespan.

−
−
It is unclear why the wall is in ruins, however, one can assume that possibly the local ogre or troll clans, or even the Syndicate, may be responsible. Time may be responsible as well, as the wall has withstood at least both the Second and Third Wars.

−
* The damaged Thoradin's Wall shares the same model as the current in-game model of the Greymane Wall.

−
−
* In the Escape from Durnholde Keep event in the Caverns of Time, behind the intact wall is still unfinished land containing only discolored land and deformed mountains, as well as a huge ledge from which one can freely fall to their doom.

−
−
* The wall is presumably inspired by Hadrian's Wall, the ancient Roman Empire's northernmost boundary in Brittania (now England).

Trade Prince Steamwheedle, one of the goblin Trade princes, is the richest known goblin on Azeroth, and runs the shipping division of the Trade Coalition practically on his own.[1]

Questionmark-medium
This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.

The name "Steamwheedle" hints that he runs the Steamwheedle Cartel, but this is not specifically confirmed.

It is implied that the Steamwheedle Cartel was the group of goblins that originally sided with the Horde (or at least are currently considered the most viable replacement for that group). Currently the Horde is trying to improve relations with the cartel in order to get them to join the Horde.[2] If so, then the Trade Prince would most likely have been Steamwheedle.

Perhaps he is the goblin tinker Ratso Steamwheedle, or they are related.
