The 1 Ring is not a great ring, but is very popular because of its references to Tolkien's work. The ring can only be found by fishing likely because in Tolkien's work 'The One Ring' is lost in a river until Gollum finds it.

The 1 Ring can be found by fishing in any low level fishing area, such as the canals in Stormwind and other fishing areas in Horde and Alliance main cities and secondary areas. However, it has an extremely low drop rate and even an avid fisherman is unlikely to ever see one.

Note

In Tolkien's the Lord of the Rings, The One Ring granted power to rule the wearers of other rings of Middle Earth. Since the other wearers were the rulers of the different races, Tolkien's The One Ring granted dominion over the entire world. The small buff of The 1 Ring must be Blizzard's way of making it a complete opposite of Tolkien's One Ring.

The 2 Ring would have +2 for all stats, but it does not exist, it's just a joke.
