The mighty Tauren of the Kalimdor plains have pledged their allegiance to the new Horde out of respect for their courage and honor. The bold Tauren seek only to safeguard their quiet culture from the deathly fires of the Burning Legion. When roused, Tauren are fierce fighters and use their flails and horns alike to smash their enemies.
Tauren are the most powerful ground melee unit. Use Shaman's Bloodlust to make Tauren even more powerful. Typically you will want to research Pulverize after you have trained three Tauren or as soon as your Tauren are enroute to the enemy, whichever comes first.
Always combine Tauren with Shamans using Bloodlust. Taurens are like an AoE melee unit, because of their ability to use Pulverize, which is fairly common (25% is quite high). Tauren however, are fairly expensive and will cost a burden if too many are lost carelessly in battle. As they have very high health, you can also use a Healing Ward, which replenishes 2% of their max lifepoints. In The Frozen Throne version, you should also have Spirit Walkers to resurrect any Tauren that falls in battle.
