Well it's about time they finally got to this[]
Can't wait to read it, too bad it'll be written by Knaak. Let's just hope he keeps Rhonin and Krasus out of it. God only knows he'd find a way to get them in there and help Malfurion in some asinine way and steal all the credit. Any news about if Knaak is gonna pull another Night of the Dragon and solve the entire conflict in the novel or will he just build suspense if it turns out BlizzCon this year reveals the Dream is the next expansion? Or will he copy Christie Golden like in Arthas: Rise of the Lich King and just tell what happened from when he went into the coma and lead up to whatever point, like say right before the events of the expansion (Given that it will be based around the Dream) just like in Arthas it lead up to the point where he opened his eyes in the beginning of the cinematic? Whatever it turns out to be, he better have gone back to basic English classes to learn how to write at least an essay so he can do this book justice because I was not thrilled with the little, oblivious, passive kid he made Malfurion out to be in War of the Ancients.

Any ideas on when the novel exactly takes place in terms of World of Warcraft? It seems as though it would lead up to just before the events of Cataclysm, but that's just my guess.AhotahThunderhorn (talk) 20:59, October 28, 2009 (UTC)

- Timeline seems to be right after the death of Lich King. Thrall is still Warchief and Goblins an Worgen have yet to join the Horde and Alliance. No great Deathwing related shake up of the world has happened either. Mattyankees (talk) 14:22, February 22, 2010 (UTC)
- I've actually come to the realization of a rather large error in this book. In the beginning, it is told that "Saurfang the Elder recently lost his own son in battle", which would mean it took place at least AFTER the Wrath-Gate event. Later in the book, however, Variathimus is actually still alive! Needless to say, this has actually irked me a great deal, and I find myself unable to continue reading =(.
