Does anybody know how to make Template:Effecttip work as a mouse-over tooltip on other pages? —MJBurragetalk • 18:30, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

You'd need some specific template to link to it, as {{loot}} for {{tooltip}}. --Pcj (TC) 18:35, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
If I try something like that—[Very Happy]—I get a message saying there is no tooltip. So I assumed that there was something wrong with how I created this page that would have to be rectified first. —MJBurragetalk • 18:55, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
No, the {{Loot}} explicitly checks for item tooltip, so you'd need a different template to do it (and I'd have to set up the JS for it). --Pcj (TC) 18:58, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
So probably not worth it just for buffs, and I have not done any real programming in almost two decades (some Pascal, Fortran, and Lisp). I was trying to get such a tooltip for the buff on the Delicious Chocolate Cake page (and its tooltip).
On a related note, is having the Very Happy buff under "create=" in the Cake's tooltip incorrect? —MJBurragetalk • 19:14, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Yes, that would be incorrect. --Pcj (TC) 19:16, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
You know, {{Spelllink}} might be what you're looking for. --Pcj (TC) 19:18, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

You know, I understand that the comment about that was pure speculation, but is it reasonable to speculate that Blizzard would risk the wrath of parents by seeming to encourage what is currently illegal behavior? Furthermore, if this is a legit addition to this article, would it be legit to delve into the mechanics of chocolate itself as a known bringer of happiness--you know, kind of a counterpoint? No. --PcjWoWWiki admin (TDrop me a line!C58,926 contributions and counting) 14:41, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the fix on that. Tiraline (talk) 16:21, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
