- Naturally, the Trolls would like to think they were the ancestors of the Kaldorei...;-) --Laisren 05:54, 20 Jul 2005 (EDT)
There are a few books to find in WoW that also flat-out say that trolls may have evolved into night elves. Can't remember where they were, though... Kakwakas 22:19, 16 Aug 2005 (EDT)
- Quite honestly, this looks like a stupidly written article. Sorry if I offend someone by that. It seems silly to say that there is debate about what Blizzard itself says. That elves evolved from "nomadic humanoids" and what-not, would you like to say that Trolls simply haven't evolved and are and always have been nomadic, and are still stupid? or maybe that elves "decayed" from trolls? Anyways, the answer to the whole thing is that they may simply have evolved from the same thing. That same thing may be neither elf nor troll. Why suggest something based upon logic so fallacious? -- Schmidt talk 11:20, 9 Sep 2005 (EDT)
There are also a hint in the book "the last guardian" that there are a 5th troll race
There ARE five. Dark Trolls, Sand Trolls, Forest Trolls, Ice Trolls, Jungle Trolls. But i disagree with D. F. Shmidt, in that it didn't say the Trolls are stupid, they just OBVIOUSLY dont have an as advanced culture as Night Elves. Did you know that if you took a 2 year old from the Ice Age and took them here (not Neanderthals) they would grow up to be a normal person?Saimdusan
- However, later sources place sand trolls under the banner of Sandfury trolls as it is the only clan of that type, and states that it isn't actually its own specific subspecies of troll but a break off of one of the other common troll subspecies. Dark trolls are also questioned as actually being its own subspecies, some sources placing them as a break off of the forest trolls. In these discussions there are only three known troll races, Forest, Ice, and Jungle. Although some sources place the Zandalar tribe as its own subspecies as well, so that brings it back to four in some cases.Baggins 22:27, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
We should add something about the Felblood Elves on that little picture.Meneldir 14:12, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
