Why the Attribution tag? Edit

On November 9, 2010, a large chunk of content (zone tables and maps, mostly) was obviously copied from to this article.

Here is the same Wowpedia article on November 8:

Here is this article (the WoWWiki version) on November 9, 05:35 UTC (no zone tables or maps):

Here is this article later on November 9, 07:10 UTC (zone tables and maps exactly like Wowpedia's magically appear):

So please stop removing the notices that identify this content's source. I will use Special:Contact next time it happens. This means you too, Deadlykris. --Gengar orange 22x22Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 3:06 AM PST 12 Nov 2010

I never removed any notices that identify the source. What I have done was restore content that was removed for supposedly not being attributed, when it was in fact attributed. So before you accuse someone of something, check your facts. --Kris talk 11:08, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
The first edit here was not attributed which was why it was reverted. As to the second revert linked, I have no clue who the person is, as they're not even a user on wowpedia. Random vandalism maybe? Someone thinking they're being helpful? Resa1983 (talk) 14:22, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
At the bottom of this article it says "editors note: special thanks to..." and it lists two persons, including the person who copied a significant amount of content without attribution from Wowpedia. Perhaps this thanks should also be extended to the contributers whose hard work was copied. (I won't make that change myself though, since I find it odd to have editors notes at the bottom of the page to begin with). ddcorkum (talk) 00:34, November 13, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, thanking the wrong people is not attribution. Deadlykris, you could have done a little research about why someone though the content deserved attribution rather than just a blind revert. Being an admin is a learning experience. Hopefully you're learning from this incident. You should add some feedback at Forum:Attribution. I will too. --Gengar orange 22x22Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 9:40 PM PST 12 Nov 2010
I saw "The following below is property of Used for education purposes only." and a similar note at the bottom as being attribution. Is it not? 'Cause it quite clearly says it came from Wowpedia. Or is the problem here that it didn't come from Wowpedia? --Kris talk 11:15, November 13, 2010 (UTC)
