This is a video of the presumed Old God disappearing in Dark Tales, the movie I'm working on.--K ) (talk) 15:07, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Naming Edit

wasn't this article originally under its description in the quest line? "ancient and powerful evil"? I know its not really a name, but its more official than "summoned old god", which probably shouldn't even be capitalized.Baggins (talk) 18:36, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

Ok, apparently the npc is called "summoned old god" in wowhead[1]. Two problems though is it says the npc's location is "unknown", and you can't click on the npc in game as I recall? If the creature is targetable ingame somehow, then I'd say the information is more reliable. If the info is from datamining its less reliable than ingame text description.Baggins (talk) 18:39, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

More than likely "Summoned Old God" is just a placeholder name (because it looks like C'Thun) and that Wowhead just records what things are named by Blizzard. In no way should what an NPC called on Wowhead be the source. --User:Gourra/Sig2 18:46, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
Um, you just said "Wowhead just records what things are named by Blizzard" so wouldn't that be a bit official since Blizzard makes the game. We have used placeholder names on here before. One minute I hear people talking about not using words that are not proper nouns, yet the next thing I know I see words that are not proper nouns being used. Talk about hypocritical. Also, you have the {{Bettername}} tag on the article, yet want to keep this title. Rolandius Paladin (talk - contr) 02:08, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
The thingy's name (Summoned Old God) is not shown in-game, and the current name (Ancient and powerful evil) is, so it is a better placeholder but still is not a real name. I think Rolandius' proper noun comment comes from here.--SWM2448 21:30, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
Actually, it's name is given in-game if you hover an ability use cursor over it (in my case I clicked the Mind Vision button when I had no target, and then hovered the cursor over it): [2] and [3]. Skreeran (talk) 10:16, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
