Spell Reflection

  • I noticed an increased chance that spell reflect reflect more than one spell during it's 5 second duration. Anyone else noticed? --Suhov 21:30, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Sound

  • "(at least at the Horde side in Thrallmar)" at Sound can be removed if there are more inns with separate music, compared to previous patches. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Hans Kamp (talk · contr).
  • The Hawkstrider makes a sound when you stand still and press the space bar. The Night Elven Sabre does open its mouth, but does not make a sound. Hans Kamp 14:05, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
  • "Equipping a fishing pole will now mute the music." Not for me it doesn't. This *is* a feature of an add-on called Fishing Buddy, but that has nothing to do with the patch. Can anyone confirm or deny this? --Timski 12:22, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Well, as I do not have this fishing buddy mod, nor any mods for fishing. But I have tested it a few times and each time the music was muted. Righteous Defense

  • After reading the supposed change to this ability I went to test it on some enemies and was not able to cast it upon them. I'm gonna go ahead and remove it but if I'm wrong, go ahead and add it back. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Olioster (talk · contr).
  • Well I'm dumb. After testing it with another person, it does work, so I'll just revert it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Olioster (talk · contr).

Fishing Poles

  • I've tried this and had no bug happen, I did see somewhere about SB Audigy's having problems, and I do own one, but haven't heard anything different other than cat mounts (sad look). I'd like to see this confirmed for sure and under what circumstances, soundcard included.--Mondoblasto 07:45, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Water Effects

  • I noticed that there was a "bobbing" effect when killing creatures in the water. First noticed this w/ the birds in skettis, then the warp creatures. If you have a corpse in the water it goes up and down w/ the "flow" of the water. I never noticed this before. If this in fact was not introduced in a previous patch it needs to be added to the undocumented changes. However, I do not know if I've just missed it until now. Coolcat600
It's possible it might be new, in 2.3 the ships swayed to the ocean's movements, bliz could have gone a step further. User:CoobraSssssssssssssssssssssssss User:CoobraFor Pony! {TDon't hiss at me.CIf you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all.) 03:50, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Rumour debunked again?

The Prince Malchezzar fight in Karazhan has had its safe spots on the left side of the room removed as of 3/26/08 I hear about this every patch, yet one of my guilds has successfully downed the Prince twice without having an infernal fall on us. Once could be sheer luck, but two seems to be pushing it. Has someone stepped forward with evidence (say, a screen) confirming an infernal in the left side? Tratlus 17:57, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Only image that has been uploaded saying that it contains proof was added, but never posted anywhere on the 29th of March. Princesafespotsremoved

This image.

Since the infernal drop position seems to be random (or as close to random as computer software can get) that would seem to indicate that two times would not be enough tests statistically to indicate the "safe spot" is still there. And really, a picture won't prove it either way except to illustrate where the supposed safe spot is. --PcjWowpedia wiki manager (TDrop me a line!C207,729 contributions and counting) 20:07, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
Since the safe spot was well-documented both right here on wowwiki and many weeks of use from myself and others, this screen shot is actually exactly what I was looking for. I'm a little disappointed they removed it; I seem to recall a blue noting it wasn't a bug and they didn't see a pressing need to "fix" it. Tratlus 13:53, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
It may have been related to the game physics change (i.e., wall-walking removal). --PcjWowpedia wiki manager (TDrop me a line!C207,729 contributions and counting) 23:31, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

Auctions

  • Duration of auction in auction houses is now extended (at least when duration time that left is short or medium) for some time (few minutes) with each new bid made so it's impossible anymore to win auction in last second of its duration.

What is meant by this? For as long as I can remember each bid (even in the past) increased the auction time by 5 minutes. Yah. That's been standard behavior for some time. --k_d3 00:10, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
May be I've missed point when it was done but some months ago I've won an auction in bid war in few minutes before it ends so I think it was not always and I've found that behavior only recently.
Another question - why Auction page doesn't mention that behavior (and since when it is) if it's well known? :) --LStranger 14:42, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
