Ignore 518 armor? Is that really that great? That's roughly 5% on a caster...less on non cloth wearers. Deathwish238 06:37, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

Um, I don't know what casters you're thinking of, but I don't know too many cloth wearers at 70 that have even 2000 armor (except maybe priests with Inner Fire up). Ignoring 500 of 2000 armor means around 25% more damage to them. A leather wearer usually has 3000 to 4000 armor (around 12-15% increase), mail around 7000 (maybe 7% increase) and plate around 10,000+, which gives you the 5% increase. NB: My math might be wrong here, but if it is I think the damage increases are probably higher.
A 5% increase in damage done may not seem like a ton, but I bet you that any class would gladly (and I mean ecstatically) take an across-the-board damage increase of 5% on plate-equivalent. Especially PvE raiders who are getting tier gear.--Scrotch 01:49, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
I don't think armor works in such a linear way in calculations. Kirkburn  talk  contr 02:07, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
