This article is very biased. Shamans and Paladins have no need for Spirit and gain nothing from it, and their gear is itemized much differently than Priest and Druid gear. Therefore, the "assumptions" section clearly points out an underlying bias towards Spirit using classes while ignoring the other itemizations (for example, Paladins have much higher than a 5% crit baseline) which naturally inflates the numbers and conclusions drawn at the end. -Flyingtoastr 06:35, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

XLSX? Edit

Could anyone who uses office 2007 convert the attached excel sheet to normal .xls-format? It's in this stupid microsoft-proprietary format... Thanks --N00braz 18:39, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

The link is dead now, the file nowhere to be found. This article is in need of a major update (new spells, changes in numerous patches etc). --Bonez0r (talk) 09:14, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Biased Edit

I agree that this article is very biased.

Chain Healing Edit

Chain healing is often downranked to Rank 4, not maximum Rank 5, during raids. It results in a far better HPM and does not suffer from the spell reduction coefficient due to the levelat which it is learnt.

Further, chain heal can crit on each bounce, this appears not to have been accounted for in the spreadsheet (and likely not for other multiple-target spells).

Heal (and Lesser Heal) Edit

Excluded from the list of possible heals are both Heal and Lesser Heal. Now, while Lesser Heal doesn't fill any function at all (other than to amuse yourself with and confuse party members with) once you level up past it, the spell Heal still has its uses. Prior to Burning Crusade it was still used in raids as a way of conserving mana. I still use it on occasion (Rank 4) when healing since I find it to be a good heal HPM-wise and triggers Inspiration.

It would, because of its use, be interesting to see how well it places among the other heals.

Nourish and Wild Growth Edit

I came to this page mostly to get a better idea of how Nourish compares to Healing Touch, but, no such luck. I've considered testing them myself, but never quite had the head for crunching all the numbers that went into bonus healing (and, at this point, need to pay up to get my account unfrozen). Wild Growth is also missing, unfortunately.
