--What? Goldshire's population is 7,000 but Southshore's is 4,000? TM41

Yup. Except if you're planning a genocide, that's just the case, and nothing you can do about it :p --Tinkerer 02:25, 19 October 2006 (EDT)

Oh, wait.. Southshore's population is actually 2,000.. Makes even less sense to me, but whatever :) --TM41

If I understood it right the Goldshire population include the surrounding farmlands, not only the town itself. --Pegster

Possible... but being that WoW is famous for it's scaled down areas in the World. It is simply a choice of Blizz to avoid large amounts of unneeded data. Acjpb 05:48, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Btw its Goldshire (small city, pop. 7000) and Southshore (town, pop 2000) according to Lands of Conflict. Basically one is a city, and the other is only a town...
If you have seen screenshots of Goldshire in WoW alpha this makes quite a bit more sense. It was a large town with several streets, and a wall around it. I think Southshore's population issue actually has something to do with the fact it was attacked and rebuilt 2-3 times according to Warcraft II's story, and other sources.Baggins 05:56, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Well, on roleplaying realms it seems most of that 7,000 would be made up by prostitutes. --AmrasCalmacil 22:41, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Creepy Children of Goldshire[]

Is this phenomenan still occuring? I remember I used to see children at the gates of Stormwind standing still and then changing formations every now and then, but I did not pay much attention when this happened several months ago.  Rolandius Wc3Knight (talk - contr) 09:41, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Yup the children are there[]

I just saw them in goldshire and followed them around. At around 7.40 they returned to the house, went to the 2nd floor and a wavefile played "You will die". I dug around a bit and found several clips of this same thing happening. It was almost certainly this file: /script PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Creature\\CThun\\CThunYouWillDIe.wav")

Someone noted that the darkmoon faire was in town when they saw it happen. Same for me. May have significance, but to be honest I think its more likely that the faire just attracts more people to town, and that way more people stumble on this little easteregg. Ayesha (talk) 06:30, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

No, the Darkmoon Fair has nothing to do with the apperance of the children; they spawn every morning. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ratam111 (talk · contr).

The children scare the living shit out of me.--IconSmall Falric Sir Tristram (Speak, mortal. My Conquests.) 09:51, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
