An observation for WSG vs Horde that may help a tactical build - when the melee is going on in the middle, send someone who's just rezzed down the side and virtually out of view into the Horde flag base to scout.

I've done this on 5 different pugs, and often twice a round: These guys are so confident, most of the time, they leave no guard at their flag. You can snag it and leave out the ramp virtually unmolested for up to half a minute, enough time to get out of the base and a good bit back to yours. If you can communicate and arrange some stealth backup watching for you to begin your mad dash to base, you've got easy flag capture. This isn't foolproof, of course. I am going to try to update the Alterec Valley strategy. I have over 15,000 honor kills and have seen a lot of strategies played out. It is not a sequential progression as it is now written. There are 3 teams that split into 4 once Galv is taken down. You have one defense team, A RH graveyard team, and a Galv-towers-graveyard team. The last team splits off with a portion heading to the RH to aid the second team while the rest take towers and graveyards. Paly 1 17:53, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

This article needs a lot of cleanup for shorthand and slang. Also, some of the personal tactics have a rather biased viewpoint. Tagged for cleanup and POV. Omniferous 23:18, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Can we remove the Alterac Valley section and just have it link to This is a much better written and detailed page and seems more neutral than the current version on this page. All the battlegrounds have their own page with better info and I think this page should just be a cursory overview with links to the other pages or copy the info from the other battleground pages onto this page? I am with Omniferous on this page. It's a tremendous wall of text that looks like someone's blog entry they just pasted here. Needs serious wikifying (especially after a couple of scrolls on the screen), but I also added an NPOV tag because there's a lot of bias... not talking about "Alliance vs. Horde" bias per se (since this is supposed to be a strategy guide for Alliance), but phrases like "don't die early or you'll get 'stuck' on defense" is highly editorial in nature and tries to promote the original writers' view of turning BG into a purely PVE encounter. Rogues are good flag carriers?! They can move faster, but they are very fragile, especially that they cannot vanish out of combat. If your enemy plays properly and doesn't just farm HKs, they will reduce your rogue flag carrier to a pile of ash, before healers can do something to prevent this. --Vergian (talk) 17:52, September 8, 2009 (UTC)

AllianceGeneral battleground strategies Edit

These are hardly alliance-specific strategies. The majority can be used by both factions.

Really? Edit

"Don't defend the Stable until everything else is secure." That cuts off a vital GY.
