:::So was the TierArmor template effectively retired? I didn't get the memo. :\ Also, looking at other armor set pages for other classes, there seems to be an inconsistency or lack of patterns. I was planning on eventually adding to these pages as well, so... really, the only great conflict with the formatting I had first come up with was the TierArmor template getting in the way of the picture (which can be resized and realigned to deal with any problems). I would rather see the "full spectrum" pictures on the front armor set page - having them in the specific item pages seems a bit pointless. --[[User:Selenium|Selenium]] 18:44, 6 September 2006 (EDT)

::::Basically. I don't know if you have a bigger resolution set, but basically, the target screen to look for is 1024x768. Your pictures were really large, and even created collisions with TierArmor itself. TierArmor is being replaced since it was in many cases too wide and caused collisions. Oh and if you look, the armor sets actually go through a rotation in choosing which model gets to be the picture.

Right now, the Druid armor sets have an easier time with that. There's only two races. But once you get into other classes... and god forbid we try to do that with the warrior class. Personally the pictures that we already had (the single race multiple angle shots pic) works better than having such a full spectrum shot. These pages should be minimalist in design and provide a clean look.

::::Oh and I guess we could/should add links to armor sets on the Blizzard site, since that armor set thing has a bit more flexibility and functionality. [[User:Pzychotix|Pzychotix]] 23:01, 6 September 2006 (EDT)

With the addition of the Set Values (extra) table displaying the stats, this new style has really grown on me. Should i go about reformatting all Tier3 to this setup? It's pretty easily done.

Also, is the BoP column really needed on the top table? Couldn't that easily be assumed, or added to the first column, like in the header: Item (BoP)? -Zaniel 17:08, 22 August 2006

It's best to leave the BoP column as is. As a general information table, it's not completely unused, and follows the styling of the lower tiered ones I made over. At the moment, I'm trying to figure the best general setup for armor sets, but the changes for this one (with the addition of a seperate set values table) seem pretty good to be applied to most all armor sets.

- Fixed some oddness with the tables, but as you can see, right now the set totals table is a little wonky. I have that one attached to the set values, as they should go together, but I don't know enough to make it look a little better for the stats column. Right now, the format for the armor sets should go somewhat like this:

  • Set items & set bonuses
  • Set values & set totals
  • Quests totals for the set if any

I'm trying to keep each group attached, as it looks much better than if we have too many tables of differing widths. However, that kind of leads to the trade off with the set totals like I said before. Pzychotix 14:29, 22 August 2006 (EDT)

Consistency FTL? I don't think so.

Last night I started updating the Tier Armor sets, originally inspired to make a "fair and balanced" page by creating images featuring all races (rather than just the predominant Night Elves). Did I overstep my bounds when I added the TierArmor template? The thing is, the TierArmor template is quite handy when browsing the armor sets, and it is on some set pages while it is nonexistent on others - I find this very inconsistent and inconvenient. If the TierArmor template is really too ugly and chunky (trust me, I had a heck of a time fitting it in), can we at least include the "all race" pics I created and uploaded? --Selenium 15:06, 6 September 2006 (EDT)

It's a sacrifice of one extra click to navigate to the other sets. Click "Sets" in the template, then choose whatever class you wish. This navigation provides additional class related links than {{TierArmor}} does. If you click on the sets going from left to right, you will notice all races as well as male and female are equally represented in a consistent pattern, i.e., D1: NE female, D2: Tauren female, T1: NE male, T2: Tauren male. Then the pattern repeats: T3: NE female, Nozdormu: Tauren female, Cenarian: NE male, Zandalar: Tauren male.Umbra 15:18, 6 September 2006 (EDT)
Hmmm...looks like I didn't get the last two images uploaded for Cenarian and Zandalar. I'm certain I have them at home. I'll upload them in the next couple of hours.Umbra 15:21, 6 September 2006 (EDT)
I took the liberty of adding your images to each specific item page where its size and position will not conflict with any tables.Umbra 16:11, 6 September 2006 (EDT)
