Terminology Edit

This page is excessively out of date. Nearly all the terminology it describes has fallen out of favour.

The terms that are used today are:

  • Chaser
  • Disabler
  • Nuker
  • Support
  • Ganker
  • Carry
  • Semi-Carry
  • Initiator

Pusher is sometimes used, but is normally called an AOE Nuker. --—The preceding unsigned comment was added by {{{1}}} (talk • contr).

I cbf'd fixing this atm, if someone should happen across this and knows how to use those terms, please update it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by VeWt (talkcontr).

I oppose the revision of the terminology. This is the terminology that we should use in Dota. A lot of the new terms were invented in League of Legends. --87.4.26.233 22:29, January 27, 2014 (UTC)
I agree. Terminology should not be updated based on someone's personal opinion. Also, without citations to why this terminology applies to Dota, it doesn't apply. While League of Legends is popular and basically a standalone version of Dota with lots of cool enhancements, it isn't Dota, so the Dota page shouldn't use LoL terms. --Gengar orange 22x22Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 27 Jan 2014 5:04 PM Pacific
