It is common knowledge that Ambassador Nozz Tappet replaced her left eye and left hand with clockwork replicas. The original clockwork eye has been replaced with a less invasive, improved version. The iris of the new device, made from slivers of chalcedony and Azerothian diamond, matches the ice blue hue of its natural counterpart. It is notable that her left hand, which appears to be made of titanium, does not evenly join the arm. Unseen to most, it matches the same color and texture of a large patch of titanium on her upper left arm. A razor line flesh tone scar stretches from hip to hip, curving along her lower abdomen.

  +
  +
The Ambassador favors tailored clothing, typically choosing elegant dresses and color-coordinated pointy witch's hats. It seems that the gnome changes her hair color and style on a whim, from her natural reddish pink to dyed black, to full boars tails or cropped with long bangs. It is less of a whim and more of an indicator of her current outlook.

Nozz can be highly and frustratingly unpredictable. Her mood swings range from deep-seated anger to dark depression. How she typically interacts with others depends on her relationship with the person/people in question. On good days, she can be gracious and polite. On bad days, she can be cold and downright rude. Nozz seldom falls into the stereotypical bubbly behavior that so many of her kind display, though one can almost be assured that when she is "cheery," it is to mask malicious behavior.
  +
  +
  +
Countering this, Nozz can display a childlike naiveté, and at times a total lack of judgment or concern for ethical/moral behavior. Nozz is more open around the Gnomish handful of people she trusts or even loves, but the capacity for deception and betrayal is always there.

History
  +
There was a time when Nozz Tappet was held in high regard within Gnomeregan for her unwavering work ethic and skill. Her mind was sharp enough to comprehend complicated schematics and the intricacies of spellweaving; like other gnomes with the same talents, she sought a way to marry the two schools of thought to produce wondrous items of utility and power.
  +
  +
  +
When Gnomeregan succumbed to the troggs and radioactive fallout, Nozz was crushed. Everything she had ever known was now trapped underground in an environment inhospitable to the living. Her father had perished in the tragedy. Her mother, Charla, had escaped, but with injuries that completely wiped away her mind - her own daughter was unrecognizable. Joining the throngs of evacuees who sought refuge in Ironforge, Nozz felt confident that High Tinker Mekkatorque would rally the survivors and, with the aid of their allies, be able to retake the city and restore it to its former grandeur. Yet as time passed, it appeared this was not to be, and she began to lose confidence. It seemed the High Tinker was content to hole himself up in Ironforge. Talk was made of reclamation, but she saw very little evidence to back up those claims.

  +
  +
Nozz found herself adrift - there really was no suitable, stable place for her to settle down and once again pursue her studies. To make matters worse, the humans and kaldorei tended to treat her in a shocking manner, reacting to her or any gnome's presence with the simple abandon one might display around a pet dog. While the dwarves were somewhat more tolerant, even some of their kind were prone to thinking less about the gnomes. These were their allies?
  +
  +
  +
To hopefully steer her heart away from growing anger and bitterness, Nozz pursued her arcane studies. Boredom quickly overtook her, as very few of her counterparts did not (or could not) understand her passion for arcane engineering, considering it "too dangerous." Nozz knew that greater knowledge was out there, but that others were too afraid to look for it. As long as Gnomeregan and its labs lay abandoned, she could not pursue her one true love. Accepting that fact, Nozz decided to focus on learning everything she could about the arcane - even the darker arts. If she could wield those powers, she'd finally earn the respect she deserved from her so-called "allies." Even if it came in their final, dying moments.

When the cults came to Stormwind, it seemed her opportunity had finally arrived. Nozz first fell into a Scourge cult. Only at the last possible moment did she escape with barely her life and sanity intact. At the behest of the group's leader, the gnome went to pursue certain alchemical studies under a most notorious figure in Duskwood. There, she learned to use grave moss and rot blossoms to put nearly any sentient being into a catatonic and highly programmable state - but not without having to experience the effect first. Nozz still cannot recall exactly how long she was under its effects, and what flashbacks she has of the event are too terrifying for her to even put to parchment.

Almost immediately, she fell into another group, this one seeking to draw its powers from the Nathrezim. Here, the gnome excelled in her studies and quickly rose in rank, surviving an excruciating ritual where, by the Nathrezim's powers, she cheated death. Yet from that very point forward, Nozz felt as if some piece of herself had been lost. When the cults were finally purged from the city, Nozz went into hiding. It was only through the help of forgiving friends that she was finally able to gain some sense of stability in her life. Within the past couple of years, however, resolution has come in the form of vile murder and self-sacrifice - although the ties to these cults can never truly be broken.

  +
Later, Nozz came under scrutiny for a series of Night Elf murders that swept through Stormwind, but was never formally charged for the crimes. It is widely believed that she was responsible for a number of "mailbox dancer" murders, which to her surprise most were accepting of. Persistent rumors and allegations gifted Nozz with a dark notoriety, including talk of her being a Necromancer. Only her close friends know the truth behind any of these allegations; one in particular may have been responsible for crafting certain rumors to begin with.

  +
  +
Over time, Nozz's homocidal and sociopathic tendencies have been redirected into a fascination (and near obsession) with self-experimentation. She purposely amputated her left hand and replaced it with a fully functioning and realistic clockwork prosthetic. It is chaotic technology at best, yielding unpredictable and at times disturbing side effects. Nozz also extracted her left eye, replacing it with a clockwork orb. The original orb was lost when Nozz tore it out and used the malignant device as a weapon to aid her escape from the Undercity with Malfos Sevenoaks; the current eye is non-invasive and far more stable.

General Info

Appearance

Personality

Nozz can be highly and frustratingly unpredictable. Her mood swings range from deep-seated anger to dark depression. How she typically interacts with others depends on her relationship with the person/people in question. On good days, she can be gracious and polite. On bad days, she can be cold and downright rude. Nozz seldom falls into the stereotypical bubbly behavior that so many of her kind display, though one can almost be assured that when she is "cheery," it is to mask malicious behavior.

Countering this, Nozz can display a childlike naiveté, and at times a total lack of judgment or concern for ethical/moral behavior. Nozz is more open around the Gnomish handful of people she trusts or even loves, but the capacity for deception and betrayal is always there.

History

There was a time when Nozz Tappet was held in high regard within Gnomeregan for her unwavering work ethic and skill. Her mind was sharp enough to comprehend complicated schematics and the intricacies of spellweaving; like other gnomes with the same talents, she sought a way to marry the two schools of thought to produce wondrous items of utility and power.

Nozz cult

At the time a willing cult participant, Nozz subjects herself to a cult ritual.

The Present

Stormwind is Nozz's city of choice; she owns a warehouse and loft that is used for less sinister activities.

She was wanted by Deathstalker Visceri after escaping the Undercity following a failed plan to convert her into an undead. Several months later, in an unrelated situation, wanted posters appeared throughout Stormwind and Redridge as an attempt by a local nobleman to bring false charges against the gnome.

Her bio-engineered self modifications are almost always an issue.

Nozz was briefly married to Midglet Boltinker on August 23, 2009. She is currently in a strange romantic relationship with Malfos Sevenoaks.
