Drop rate Edit

Is there a site or documentation otherwise obtainable from private servers that lists the droprate for the corrupted ashbringer? I'm imagining, unforutnatly, that it'll be like the eye of sulfuras, at a miserable 3% or so.

Ashbringer redirect? Edit

Hi There...

I'd suggest we make this page a link to the Ashbringer page... It seems to give all the appropriate info on Ashbringer and the corrupted version...

no... Edit

No this wont be nerfed... its the Ashbringer that is gonna get buffed since the Ashbringer that is currently in the database is just a prototype that has been in the database since the beta

I am currently typing up the Scarlet Monastery quest test and will add it to this page soon.

I added the story text, but Someone with better Wiki styling knowledge should make it look prettier. Another idea is to put it on its own page. -- Jaxdahl 06:16, 17 September 2006 (EDT)

Merge Edit

I would like to suggest that this page be merged with Ashbringer.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tyrsenus (talkcontr).

A lot they are related, but they are two seperate things.--SWM2448 21:40, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

The voice Edit

I think I once read in a Korean spoiler thart the two voices are Renault and the Highlord forever fighting in the blade. it's worth putting maybe.--SWM2448 21:43, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Frostmourne and Corrupted Ashbringer Edit

When I read up, I've come to realise that Morgraine's will is forever bound to the Corrupted Ashbringer. This is the reason why it cannot be purified. Then I realise, Corrupted Ashbringer is very similar to Frostmourne. Both blades's are bound to beings with very powerful willpower. Also, noticing the fact that whoever wields Corrupted Ashbringer will hear whispers of Morgraine, again very similar to Frostmourne, where the wielder hears the whispers of Ner'Zhul. Both whispers preach hate and rage. Ner'Zhul's whisper preaches hate for all living thing. Morgraine's whisper preaches the destruction of the Scarlet Crusade. Both whispers call for destruction and death. This is quite interesting... --Invin Dranoel 14:56, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

I can't believe Corrputed Ashbringer has moe DPS then regular Ashbringer.  IconSmall HighElf Male Mr.X8 Talk Contribs 19:05, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

The legendary one also has +30-50 holy damage added to its normal attack, which is probably not added into its DPS calculation, as well as a chance-on-hit proc... it will probably get buffed to a nice shine before it's actually put into the game, anyway, tho. (heh. Six lines of code for a signature for a one line message.) --Azaram 07:18, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
Wouldn't a sword get more DPS if it was used by a DK anyways?Aliron 00:40, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
This is why outdated stats for a weapon that's not even in-game shouldn't be used, much less as the main image of the article. -- Dark T Zeratul 05:27, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Scripts Edit

I just added the scripts to listen to the phrases. Enjoy! --Throrion 21:10, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Spell Damage Edit

Seeing as Revenger, Shadowstrike and ALL Other Drain Life weapons are effected by It... Corrupted Ashbringer's Drain Life proc is effected by 100% of your spell damage. So at level 70 you can get 800-1300 Spell Damage and have a blast with it! --Shiniki 03:51, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

The wiki page states that the voices is a proc from using the weapon, I for one can say this is untrue. I've never heard the whispers while using the blade. Nor has the people that I've spoken to, one of which is a guildmate. Maybe change this?

Removed Ad WebsiteEdit

Removed this link it's nothing but ads.

Voices in Archerus Edit

Would it be worth mentioning that as a Death Knight, up until you do Battle of Light's Hope, you can hear corrupted Ashbringer's whispers while near Mograine in Archerus?
