The mummy strikes!

Is there a back story to these guys? What does a person do to imagine up a society of tomb-robbing capitalist space mummies?

- VonKaiser

(Made this into a section, hope that's ok...) Same kind of person that comes up with a giant tomb full of exploding space-blueberry corpses? :-D --Azaram 05:59, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

Horde: A good way to work up rep

There are two caves, Northwind Cleft and Southwind Cleft, that house ogres that drop obsidian warbeads. Also for each kill you get 10 Mag'Har rep. Either of these two caves are good for working on your Mag'Har and Consortium rep at the same time. One for the kills, and the other by turning the beads in for the consortium.

This also works for members of the Alliance as well, though we get Kurenai rep instead of Mag'Har rep for killing the ogres. Don't feel you have to limit yourself to these two caves either, as there's also ogres around the Burning Blade Ruins and in the north around Warmaul Hill and Laughing Skull Ruins. From what I've seen, the drop rate on warbeads is pretty much the same over all the different types of ogres. --Thargan 06:40, 10 May 2007 (EDT)
The caves contain adamantite nodes, as well. Unless you need both Mag'har/Kurenai rep and Consortium, you're better off farming the ethereals in the Heap in Netherstorm for their insignias. Higher level, but seem to be higher drop rate, and don't need as many per turnin. --Azaram 05:59, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

Formula: Enchant Ring - Weapon Might

Thottbot says you need to be Consortium - Revered to get this, but I haven't seen this as a rep reward anywhere else... Anyone know where you get this?

--Iamdeadfish 11:26, 13 March 2007 (EDT)

Looks like it's sold by a Consortium vendor named Ythyar deep inside Karazhan, after the Curator and right before the Chess Event. Unfortunately the Formula is BoP so you can't have someone else buy it for you. - ClydeJr 11:33, 13 March 2007 (EDT)
Thank you much! --Iamdeadfish 22:09, 13 March 2007 (EDT)

Quest

Maybe it's worth mentioning you can also get reputation by doing the consortium quests at various places in Netherstorm.

Stormspire in the middle of Netherstorm is ran by Consortium, and thus holds alot of quests that gives reputation to consortium. --Valkyr 17:13, 18 March 2007 (EDT)

reward stil bugged

still havent received my "gems" as payment yet.. however according to a GM i spoke,, as of 1 april the guy should send you a mail ingame, informing you to come pickup your gems. User:CrazyJack/Sig 07:32, 27 March 2007 (EDT)

You have to go to him to pick them up, they aren't sent to you. I never got an email about them either. They've actually been getting worse as my rep went up; to begin with I'd get about four green-quality gems, the last two times I got one or two of them... Farming Inv misc wartornscrap leather [Zaxxis Insignia] out in Shadowmoon now, since my Mag'har rep is maxed out and I'm tired of seeing ogre plumber-pants. --Azaram 05:55, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
After hitting exalted, I went and talked to him for the November bag. I got six green-quality gems of the sort I could transmute into a skyfire or earthstorm diamond and a blue-quality topaz. A nice freebie, but not something to depend on for gems.--Azaram 06:06, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Confound these quests

Dealing with the placement of the Seek Out Ameer quest chain is kind of trifling.

For all intents and purposes, the chain STARTS at Stormspire. But 99% of the chain involves Commander Ameer (or his image) at the Protectorate Watch Post. Then, to add to the confusion, the last few quests start AND end in an entirely different region.

While updating the quest chain on a couple pages, I discovered that the it was listed as a Stormspire quest chain in places and a Protectorate Watch Post chain in others. I went ahead and made the location consistent across the pages as Protectorate Watch Post (it required the fewest edits for me to do at the time). This may need to be changed to Stormspire since that's where the chain, as a whole, kicks off.

Daily Dungeon Quests Emerge in Patch 2.3

Has anyone heard if these dailies will give Consortium rep? Speaking as an engineer only halfway to revered with the Consortium, I need the rep to buy a schematic to make the blasting charge to craft my flying mount. Or I suppose I could simply wait and grab it off the AH. Gnorbert 17:39, 5 November 2007 (UTC)Gnorbert

Patch 2.3 notes... "New random Daily Dungeon quests have been added for both the heroic and non-heroic five-person Outland dungeons, as well as for the 5-person Caverns of Time instances. Each day both a single heroic and a single non-heroic dungeon are randomly targeted by these quests. The Consortium quest givers can be located in Shattrath's Lower City."
No, I understand how the quests work. I was just wondering if completion of these quests rewards Consortium rep the same way that the dailies in Ogri'la give faction rep there. Gnorbert 16:38, 7 November 2007 (UTC)Gnorbert

Efficient rep grinding

If the daily quests come from Consortium people, they should give rep for it... I ground from low end of friendly to exalted with Zaxxis Insignia... beat them down in the Heap near Area 52, and collect the insignia. They had a drop rate for Ethereum Prison Keys of about 10%, according to what one of my mods says it observed... You're close to A52 for clearing bags and repairing as often as you need to.

One use of a prison key is worth the same amount of rep as turning in 10 of the insignia, plus you're guaranteed at least a green and often a BOP blue, for fighting one medium tough elite instead of 20-30 squishy space mummies. (oop, forgot to sign) --Azaram 05:24, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
