If anyone wonders how the pvp experience on this server is, I can tell you about it! :-) The horde basically dominates the 50, 60 and 70 brackets. 19, 20, 30 and 40 are balanced. On level 80 there are usually 40 hordes in Isle of Conquest and 25 allies, usually in the end it's 40 - 30 or 40 - 40. Strand of the Ancients is dominated by horde as well, not by numbers of players but by the amount of wins. Alterac Valley is on every bracket 40 hordes vs. 25 allies from the start and usually 40 - 40 in the end, mostly a win for the horde. This changes a bit towards more equal numbers with the battleground holiday. Hardly more than 1 Isle of Conquest, 1 Strand of the Ancients and 1 Alterac Valley open on level 80. 3-4 Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin and Eye of the Storm open on level 80.
Alliance wins Wintergrasp more often the horde. Horde has usually 2-3 tenacity and normally there is always at least 1 full raid for the alliance, maybe 1,5 raids.
In short, this battlegroup is no the best choice for pvp. Especially not for the alliance. Even though there are propably twice as many players on the alliance side, the horde is more interested in pvp and dominates the higher brackets and especially the battlegrounds by having a full group whereas the alliance has to play with 1/2 - 2/3 of a group.
A merge with another small battlegroup might help here.
Of course the note above about Wintergrasp only applies to the server The Sha'Tar.
Shattered Halls Edit
My experiences on Shattered Halls have been somewhat different; whilst the lower level brackets are dominated by the horde, at 80 allies put up a good fight despite the massive imbalance, I would suggest that the win ratio is about 50/50 and the allies never seem majorly short of players. This is on the same Battlegroup. WG, however, is defended almost perpetually by horde, fighting against allies with full 20 tenacity.
- Are we talking about the same battlegroup? In every game of Alterac Valley (except during the holiday) the horde is outnumbering alliance by 10-15 players in the first few minutes. The same goes for Isle of Conquest. Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin, Eye of the Storm and most of the time Strand of the Ancients are fine in terms of numbers of players on both sides. But the big ones, no chance! Way more players on the hordes side. When did you experience equal numbers? Maybe it only happens during certain times of a day or on certain days of the week?
