This article is about the regular Stratholme item. For the Legion quest item, see Inv potion 75 [Stratholme Holy Water].
Inv potion 7550
  • Stratholme Holy Water
  • Binds when picked up
  • Use: Inflicts between 438 and 562 damage to Undead in a 10 yard radius.
  • 1 Charge
  • "Just 1 calorie."

Stratholme Holy Water is a stackable item that when used does 438 to 562 damage to undead within a 10 yard radius. It is used in two quests: N [60D] Houses of the Holy and A Paladin [60D] Collection of Goods.

While its usefulness in regular Undead instances like Stratholme cannot be denied, it really shines as an assist during the third phase of the Nefarian fight, in which upwards of forty undead constructs spawn and rush the group. The Water is generally used by the warriors who run out to intercept the constructs, as they are apt to have the most constructs around them, so they get the most benefit out of them for the raid.

Source[]

It is only obtainable in Stratholme as the name may imply. It can be found inside supply crates scattered throughout the instance. Boxes labeled Stratholme Supply Crates always contain Stratholme Holy Water, whereas the boxes labeled Supply Crates are often trapped. The item also sometimes is dropped by Undead Postman.

As a quest objective[]

WoW Icon update The subject of this section was removed from World of Warcraft in patch 4.0.3a but is present in Classic Era.
Removed from game The subject of this section did not make it out of the PTR stages of patch 1.12.0.

Notes[]

  • Rogues can detect trapped boxes by entering stealth. When hovering with the mouse over a trap-box they will see a green text that says "requires disarm trap". Using disarm trap on the box will remove the trap and reveal the real box, however, this real box almost always falls apart too.
  • Players on either of the quests requiring the holy water will be able to see the usual quest-lootable sparkles emanating from the non-trapped crates, until they have obtained the number of holy water needed for their quest.
