Soridormi in her battle form

Ten thousand years ago, as Nozdormu was missing, Soridormi represented him at the gathering of dragons in the Chamber of the Aspects for the creation of the Dragon Soul. She contributed her own and her mate's essence to the Soul's spell matrix. Soridormi was betrayed along with the rest of the dragons when Neltharion attempted to use it to gain control of the dragonflights, but was saved by the intervention of Korialstrasz.

Soridormi again represented her flight, fighting in the final battle of the War of the Ancients over the Well of Eternity. She carried Broxigar into battle against the forces of the Burning Legion and the Highborne. At the end of the battle, she was reunited with Nozdormu after he broke free of the time anomaly keeping him trapped.

The Burning Crusade[]

Soridormi appears as a quest-giver for the Caverns of Time instances, taking the shape of a female high elf for the occasion. The Scale of the Sands serves as Soridormi's personal servants, currently occupied with trying to preserve the timeline around the events of the Battle of Mount Hyjal.

She starts the quest N [30R] The Vials of Eternity, which players used to need to complete for attunement to enter into the Battle for Mount Hyjal raid instance, but it is now optional.

Soridormi's past self makes a brief appearance in the Well of Eternity as she, Ysera, and Alexstrasza attempt (unsuccessfully) to purify the Dragon Soul.

Soridormi accompanies Nozdormu to the Temporal Conflux in Thaldraszus. When Chronormu goes missing in time while battling the infinite dragon Eternus, Soridormi leads the Timewalkers into the possible future where the Primalists won to find her.[6] When the timeline became under temporal assault, Soridormi was the commander who held everything together by directing adventurers with completing tasks and defeating the Fractured Causality.

Caverns of Time

The Battle of Mount Hyjal is one of the most well-guarded events of this timeline. Should an intruder alter its outcome, the impact would extend to all subsequent moments in history.

As the Aspect's prime mate I'm far more in tune with the flow of time than other bronze dragons. I recently sensed a minute ripple in time emanating from the events surrounding the Battle of Mount Hyjal. Someone or something is attempting to change this timeline and they must be stopped.

??

I am pleased that you've decided to take up our cause. As a reward I ill infuse a ring with the remnants of the Well of Eternity you brought me.

I offer you four different paths in which to unlock their power. Choose wisely, <name>. The sands of time flow easily in one direction and not the other.

Temporal Conflux

We must hold to our oath and preserve the timeways.

Everywhere Inn

Welcome to Eon's Fringe <name>.

Time has become... quite frankly, a bit of a mess.

We could use your assistance with some issues at the inn.

Tyrhold Reservoir

I'm glad you're here.

There's been far too much chaos in the timeways lately. Reckless time travel has consequences! Now a time rift is imminent. I can almost taste it.

I won't stand for this. We need to set things right! That's where you come in.

Gossip What is a Time Rift?

Allow me to explain.
There are trillions of trillions of trillions of timeways out there: alternate realities that exist in parallel to ours.
Some of these realities may be wildly different than ours. Others may bear similarities to the world you and I know... different in only in a few small details.
Gossip That's a lot of timeways to keep track of.
It certainly is! Fortunately for me and my flight, most timeways do not threaten ours. They extend across dimensions that are distant from and askew to our own timeline, with no threat of ever crossing over.
A few timeways, however, stretch perilously close to our own. And when we experience turbulence in our timeline--as we have in recent days--the veil between our reality and adjacent timeways can wear thin... or tear open.
<Soridormi shudders.>
These horrid scars in the titans' design are called "Time Rifts."
Gossip How do we repair a time rift?
Ah! Repairing a Time Rift itself is trivial. We simply need to find the temporal diffraction point and refocus it back into parallel configuration! A single chronograde, oriented into the correct position, adjusted for facing, concavity, eccentricity, timeway, time, and, of course, extrachronotemporaneity. That should do the job. Really, the youngest whelp could do it.
The tricky part is getting there. We bronze dragons keep Azeroth's timeway tidy and unbent, but we cannot maintain all other timeways. The best we can do is straighten them when they coil too closely into ours.
Gossip So we need to travel to another timeway?
Precisely. I will be on the lookout for a suitable portal to carry us through to the other side. In the meantime, I'll be relying on you to make sure that nothing from the foreign timeline threatens our own.
Gossip I understand now. Thank you.
During a Time Rift

This is no time for idle chat. We need to fix the timeways.

Gossip (Begin Time Rift) <Name>, reporting in for duty! Gossip What's going on?

Something punched a hole between our reality and another. Normally, the timeways are neatly contained in their own perfect little dimensions. They're not supposed to get criss-crossed like this.
<Soridormi scrunches up her face in disgust.>
It is the duty of the bronze dragonflight to correct this. That's why we're here today. Well... that, and protecting our allies from any extradimensional invaders.
<Soridormi looks out across the reservoir.>
Gossip Hmm. They're here.
There seem to be invaders from TWO different timeways here.
A temporal paradox has created portals to Azmourne, a timeway where the Scourge have overwhelmed Azeroth.
Gossip You mentioned two different timelines. What's the second one?
Fel creatures are infesting our timeline from Azewrath, a timeway where blasphemous demons have conquered all of creation.
Gossip I understand now. Thank you.
With the Fluffier Fur buff
<Name>! It's good to... see...
<Soridormi looks at you and blinks hard. She seems to have noticed the [Softer Fur] you obtained from an Ulderoth Mutagen Orb.>
I'm sorry, are you covered in fluffy fur? The type of soft, cuddly fur that an adorable pet or helpless small creature might have?
<Soridormi thinks carefully about her next words.>
Might I... if it isn't too much of an imposition... request to... pet you?
Gossip Sure!
Gossip Please don't pet me.

Notes[]

  • Although Soridormi represented Nozdormu during the creation of the Dragon Soul along with the other Aspects (he having been busy preventing the timeline unravelling due to the Old Gods' interference), she does not appear during the flashback of the event against Yogg-Saron in Ulduar.
  • Soridormi is voiced by Shara Kirby.[7]

Speculation[]

Questionmark-medium
This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.

It is speculated she is likely the mother of Anachronos, the Heir of Nozdormu. Anachronos having been chosen as Nozdormu's heir implies he might be the progeny of the primary consort.
