Revision as of 07:06, 11 October 2006

EU Sunstrider is a PvP realm that was opened in early 2005. The realm soon became somewhat different from other realms due to it having it's own forums at http://sunstrider.net/ months before other realms got theirs through wow-europe.com. Due to these forums the players from each faction got to know their opponents, to love and hate them stronger than ever before.

The community is quite strong, with active communication between Guilds, especially those on top of the food chain. There is a constant race going on to achieve goals of the endgame content, and this race can be watched through the forums.

Sunstrider has lately become known for its worse than normal latency issues, often referred to as 'Lagstrider' in game, but this has yet to be noticed by Blizzard. Many guilds on this server are having troubly getting enough warlocks and priests. But rogues and hunters are available by the handful.

Sunstrider is also well famed with server's private Molten Core rare spawn mob Magadar. Magadar is assumed to be sister of magadar. Not much of his drops are known about this Npc but it is generally considered as "Epix". Recently there is a myth that claims reporting "Magadar Down!" on raid instances general chat brings players huge reputation from other players. This speciality is also considered as a hidden ability of the mob.

Guilds of Sunstrider (Europe):

There are many Guilds on the realm, some of them bigger, some smaller and a few of them quite dedicated to their business.

Alliance Alliance Guilds

On Alliance there are such names as Randoms, Artifact, Unknown Entity, Mysth, Nightshade, and Reign. All of whom are now taking on AQ and Naxx. There are a number of "second generation" guilds who were born due to the influx of players following the rerelease of WoW in Summer 2005. These include Fusion, Leviathan, Rampage, The Crazy EightyEights, Redemption and Revenant. Listed in order of BWL progress the top end of these guilds have killed Nefarian and the lower end Razorgore.

  • Free Action (Killed Nefarian)
  • Randoms (Killed Nefarian)
  • Artifact (Killed Nefarian)
  • Unknown Entity (Killed Nefarian)
  • Mysth (Killed Nefarian)
  • Nightshade (Killed Nefarian)

  • Fusion (Killed Nefarian)

Horde Horde Guilds

On Horde there are for example Nazgrel's Henchmen, eXodus, Legacy, Hybris, Endless Corporation, Tribe and East Dragon. Horde guilds tend to be more focused on PvP, therefore only Legacy, Nazgrel's Henchmen and Hybris rival the progress of top alliance guilds in endgame progress.
