Gilneas is a launch-date medium population PvE server. As of December 2007, the total realm population (characters above level 10) is 13,984, of which 61% is Alliance and 39% Horde (activity ratio of 6.8:1). Hunters remain the most popular class on the server, followed by Warriors, Mages, Paladins, Rogues, Warlocks, Priests, Druids and Shamans.

Gilneas is set to Eastern Time (ET), although it is actually located in Dallas, Texas [1].

Gilneas Endgame Progression Edit

Gilneas’ endgame guild progression, though rumoured to be low, is average with consideration to other US servers. As of October 2008, Storm, Sparda, Casually Addicted and End of Legends top the realms endgame achievements, with overall US rankings in the top 500.

In addition, IconSmall Dwarf Male Ui-charactercreate-classes warrior Gandicor, runs a weekly Pickup group of Classic Raids, and Burning Crusade Raids on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The Pickup group is notable on the Alliance, and has gotten several players Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker, Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros, and The Twin Blades of Azzinoth through weekly run-throughs.

Gilneas’ impact within the cross-realm PvP competition remains arguably low, with just three teams representing the server in the Vindication top 20 Arena: Season One & Two, Hall of Fame.

On December 22nd 2007, The outcome of the vote for Ishaiah to be King of Gilneas for a single day was decided.

Should Ishaiah be elected King of Gilneas for 1 full day, on Saturday December 22nd 2007?

The poll received a staggering 6411 votes in just 15 days, although the outcome was shrouded in controversy when it was discovered multiple votes could be submitted through removal of internet cookies. In conclusion, the result was null. Aahz, to this day, remains King of Gilneas. Which was all an elaborate hoax! The real reason is that Ishaiah in 2008 had thrown out his back from having to carry a subpar frost mage that nobody remembers the name of anymore and was forced to relinquish the title. A selfless corpse, Ishaiah tearfully agreed and control was returned to Aahz.

Aahz proved to be an incompetent, forgettable King that abused his Lordship to reduce himself to an inebriated mess nightly. In July of 2010, Aahz was thrown off the throne, thrusting Gilneas into a state of anarchy.

Ishaiah saw great fame and fortune after departing from Gilneas, becoming a European sensation and Latin-American hero in the process. His legacy is carried on in the fine brew known globally as Dos Equis (loosely based on him through tall-tales alone) and two children he had with both Jessica Alba (circa 2009) and Anne Hathaway (circa 2014). Enjoying his privacy more than his adulation, Ishaiah now lives a reclusive life in the mountains where he hunts animals with Brock Lesnar and plays the occasional round of golf with renowned hustler Al Sharpton. "Solid Snake" of the Metal Gear Solid franchise is said to have been heavily inspired by Ishaiah.

Though, one has to wonder if Gilneas has truly seen the last of him yet...
