The Scarlet Onslaught were once the Scarlet Crusade, and have traveled to the Dragonblight of Northrend in their hopes of defeating the Lich King.[1]
Led by High General Abbendis, the last of the Crusade's original founders (since Highlord Mograine and Grand Inquisitor Isillien are dead by this point) and operating primarily out of the city of New Hearthglen, the Onslaught appears to have even lower moral scruples than the original Scarlet Crusade, as they now accept death knights and shadow priests within their ranks. (Ironically, according to Abbendis' diary, these are supposed to be the most faithful.)
