Rune of the Fallen Crusader is a death knight unholy rune that can be applied to a weapon through [Runeforging].
Notes
This is by far the strongest rune for DPS. With the exception of dual-wield Frost death knights, Unholy death knights should not use any other rune once they can use this one.
The name and mechanic is an homage to the classic Enchant Weapon - Crusader.
Patch changes
- Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Level squish. Now available at level 8 (was 70).
- Hotfix (2018-08-10): Unholy Strength increases Strength by 10% when engaged in combat with enemy players (was 15%).
- Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Now increases Strength by 15% (down from 20%) and heals for 6% (up from 3%).
- Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Now increases Strength by 20% (up from 15%).
- Patch 3.1.0 (2009-04-14): Strength bonus reduced to 15%. Chance to proc doubled.
- Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Added.
