Notes
Ravandwyr is a level 67 quest giver located at Area 52 in the contested territory of Netherstorm. Although he is a mage, he also entertains people with his illusionist tricks. He is the apprentice of the archmage Vargoth, who is trapped in the tower of Kirin'Var Village. The quests given by Ravandwyr lead to the reconstruction of his master's staff and, later on, to breaking the seal on the tower.

One of the six racial traits granted to all human characters. It grants an expertise bonus while using swords. When dual wielding different types of weapons, Sword Specialization is applied to each weapon individually, so that if you dual wield a sword and an axe, only attacks made with the sword benefit from Sword Specialization. When dual wielding two swords, all of your attacks will benefit from Sword Specialization. For attacks that only use the mainhand weapon, such as a rogue's Spell shadow ritualofsacrifice [Sinister Strike], only your mainhand expertise matters.

Notes

 • Since the bonus is 'raw' expertise and not rating, it will grant the same bonus regardless of the level of the player.
 • 3 expertise reduces an opponent's chance to dodge or parry by 0.75%, for a total of 1.50% reduced chance for an enemy to avoid your attacks.
 • This expertise stacks with expertise gained from other sources, limited only by the expertise cap.
 • When dual wielding a sword and a mace as a human, attacks made with the Sword will benefit from Sword Specialization while attacks made with the mace will benefit from Mace Specialization. These bonuses only apply to that weapon, and dual wielding a mace and a sword will result in the exact same total expertise as dual wielding two maces or two swords.
