Deletion vote Edit

  1. Delete Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 00:37, 17 June 2008 (UTC) - (Nominated)
  2. Delete User:Gourra/Sig2 00:40, 17 June 2008 (UTC) - (Incomplete information about a quest that only existed in beta.)
  3. Delete JamesR (talk) 10:50, 17 July 2008 (UTC) - (This is of no historical value unlike say Quest:Eranikus, Tyrant of the Dream, so why bother keeping it?)
  4. Delete Dark T Zeratul (talk) 10:03, 17 August 2008 (UTC) - (Aside from major things like plainsrunning, just about everything else removed in beta isn't listed on this wiki; why should this be any different?)
  5. Delete Ecozonz ( T C ) 20:45, 5 January 2009 (UTC) - (no comment)
  1. Keep SWM2448 00:42, 17 June 2008 (UTC) - (Keeping it harms nothing. It is not like it is only one sentence.)
  2. Keep  IconSmall HighElf Male Mr.X8 Talk Contribs - ()
  3. Keep FieryAxel (talk) 01:23, 25 July 2008 (UTC) - (Especially keep things removed from the game, even if they have no value, I found this article extremely interesting, and is definitely worth being kept. ~~FieryAxel)
  4. Keep Johnl - (no comment)
  5. Keep Inv misc orb 04 Xavius, the Satyr Lord (praise) (creations) 10:13, 17 August 2008 (UTC) - (I, too, find this interesting.)
  6. Keep Murph (talkcontr) 05:36, 19 December 2008 (UTC) - (It's doing no harm, there's no accuracy issues that I can see. While it might not be the most important of quests, it did exist (albeit briefly). It's still in wowhead, and the article has the minimum information about a quest, as far as I can see. It has small historical value, but some may find it interesting to see what didn't make it from beta to release.)
  7. Keep User:Coobra/Sig4 23:53, 1 April 2009 (UTC) - (Although this page only serves as historical info, and mostly useless, eh... it harms nothing to keep.)
  8. Keep Benitoperezgaldos (talk) 05:43, 12 June 2009 (UTC) - (I find it interesting that Warboss Nekrogg was supposed to have a quest)

I feel that there is not quite enough information in this page to be of historical value, and no evidence that this quest is still in the game. This may be a relic of when Shattered Hand Orcs were worth reputation. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 00:38, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

With the additional information from Ala via Gourra, I'm somewhat inclined to reverse my vote. I would be more willing to do so, though, if we could remove the page from the various 'live' categories (as per recommendation in Category:Removed from beta). Are there other sources of information about this quest? --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 18:41, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Well there's thottbot, allakhazam, wowhead and wowdb that you can find information from, and the wowdb page list two quests with the same name (one for each faction). We'd have to split it off into two different articles, but do we even have that much information about the quests? I mean, there's not even any "Progress" or "Completion" texts on them. User:Gourra/Sig2 18:54, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
On the one hand, we've plenty of quests that don't have progress text, and some that don't have completion texts either. On the other, it's been removed. And on the gripping hand, I've never felt compelled to make different pages for what is essentially the same quest. Horde place and NPC names used instead of Alliance names. Having looked at the two quests, I have to feel that Warboss Nekrogg put one over on both sides. I could picture him threatening Honor Hold, but Thrallmar? </digression>--Eirik Ratcatcher ([User talk:Eirik Ratcatcher|talk]]) 21:41, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
This really has no historical value and keeping only really serves to confuse people leafing through quest lists. Let Wowhead and it's kin store useless relics of information and allow this wiki to provide a useful channel through which to find things genuinely worth knowing. JamesR (talk) 10:50, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
I move to at least have this entry delisted from the official quest categories as to avoid confusion.JamesR (talk) 08:21, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
It's clearly tagged as removed from the game, I see no reason people should be confused by it. Leaving it in the appropriate categories it would have been in, had it not been removed, makes more sense to me. --Murph (talkcontr) 05:39, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
I'm undecided on whether or not to delete it so I'm not casting an official vote. However, I do think it should be removed from all categories except the "removed from game" category. When a player is looking through Category:Hellfire Peninsula quests, they shouldn't see this one. The article is only relevant to people curious about what didn't make it into the live game. -- Mordsith - (talk|contr) 19:36, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
