Yalda has been at the same location throughout the game, outside a house in Auberdine (now called the Ruins of Auberdine [39, 43].
In early versions of the game, the house was wrecked, leading to speculation that Yalda was some sort of ghost. The house then became in order up to the cataclysm, where the house is again wrecked and on fire.
