Report for duty at the Ironforge Brigade post near Hive'Zora. Prepare your Unsigned Field Duty Papers and obtain Signed Field Duty Papers from Captain Blackanvil and return to Windcaller Kaldon at Cenarion Hold in Silithus.
Note: Healing or casting beneficial spells on a member of the Ironforge Brigade will flag you for PvP.
Greetings, <name>. Before I assign you to more involved tasks in the war, you'll need to do your share of field duty.
You will find Captain Blackanvil's Ironforge Brigade outside Hive'Zora.
Report to him or his lieutenant, Janela Stouthammer and come back to me. I shall have a more advanced assignment for you ready.
Oh and please do us a favor and stay away from the Orgrimmar Legion. We've been forced to keep the two forces well apart from one another due to mutual animosity.
You'll find Captain Blackanvil's force stationed outside Hive'Zora. Talk to his lieutenant, Janela Stouthammer, if you can't find him.
Very well, <name>. I've prepared a set of tasks that should make optimal use of your skills.
With the continued efforts of you and people like you, our enemy will soon be vanquished once and for all!
Should you require a new mission briefing, return to Captain Blackanvil.
You can choose one of the following:
Unlike the Horde quest, the NPC you need to have sign your papers is not even present until the event starts. And he won't offer to sign your papers until the monster has been beaten off. So, you do need to talk to Janela Stouthammer to start the event.
For the Alliance, the NPC is an elite 60 Hive'Zora Abomination.
Elite Hive'Zora Abomination's abilities
- AoE Enveloping Winds 8-second stun (magic, dispellable)
- Short-range AOE poison cloud that does around 300 damage every 2 seconds
- Limited number AoE fear, with only 2-4 people feared
If there is no player interaction, NPCs defeat the Abomination, but there is a high chance Captain Blackanvil will be slain, thus preventing players from completing their quest.
