The PvP trinkets are rewards in the honor system. They can be used to prevent or remove movement impairing effects. With the advent of The Burning Crusade Bc icon expansion, additional level 70 trinkets were introduced. These cost much more honor points but have additional benefits.

Trinket Effects by Class

The various classes get different trinkets. In the past, each countered different effects.

All classic World of Warcraft trinkets had a 5 minute cooldown and dispeled up to three forms of CC from the user. They are usable while under the effects of the CC, even if the CC would otherwise prevent trinket use.

The following table lists which form of CC each classes' trinket neutralizes. Notice trinkets do not provide immunity; they only reactively dispel already existing effects.

Class Charm Spell shadow possession [Fear] Stun Root Spell nature slow [Slow] Spell nature polymorph [Polymorph]
Priest X X X
Mage X X X
Warlock X X X
Druid X X X
Rogue X X X
Shaman X X X
Hunter X X X
Paladin X X X
Warrior X X X
