Asaad is the third and final boss of the Vortex Pinnacle in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. His relations with Anshal and The Duke of Zephyrs are unknown.

Abilities

• Chain Lightning — Strikes an enemy with a lightning bolt that arcs to another nearby enemy. The spell affect up to 5 targets, inflicting less Nature damage to each successive target.
• Supremacy of the Storm — Lighting strikes from the storm above Asaad, inflicting massive damage to all enemies
• Unstable Grounding Field — Assad channels, creating a grounding field that will protect him while he calls lightning from the sky.
  • Grounding Field — The grounding field redirects any spells targeted at units inside it.

Strategy

• Work in Progress
• Basically, this is a tank and spank fight.
• When he starts casting Unstable Grounding Field, everyone, even the tank, must stand inside it before he finishes. He will then cast Supremacy of the Storm, dealing massive damage to anyone outside the field. While he is casting Supremacy of the Storm, he will be in melee range of everyone inside the Grounding Field.

Heroic

• In addition to his normal abilities he will also cast a root effect called Static Cling which needs to be dispelled before you can move into the grounding field. It is advised that the healer does NOT dispel the root until he is casting the grounding field to avoid wasting mana.

• Party members can also avoid the Static Cling buff by jumping before he finishes casting the ability.

• Also he will cast a chain lightning at a member of the group so make sure to spread out a bit as well.
