Should we make some distinction between the old Twilight's Hammer Clan led by Cho'Gall and wiped out at the end of the second war, and the new one in WoW obsessed with bringing about the apocolypse? As in, should we make different pages for each? It's arguable if there's much continuaty between the two. --Mikaka 17:09, 2 December 2006 (EST)

knew these guys in the cult were crazy, but seriously can they get any madder, look at this:

 +
* Abilities

 +
** Scout (Summons an owl scout to survey the area)
"State of the Cult, Volume 127

 +
** Cold Arrows (Slows target's movement speed per shot)

 +
** Bash (Increases the ranged attack power of nearby units)
It is truly a happy day! We have been tested in Silithus, and we have passed!

 +
** Starfall (Causes AOE damage to nearby enemies)
Reports of the destruction of our northernmost camp may challenge the hearts of the unfaithful.

But this slaughter should not be seen as tragedy. No!

The spilling of our blood by one of the Abyssal High Council is a blessing! We must envy our fallen comrades. For their spirits now reside in the belly of a most righteous beast! Praise to the Old Gods! Praise to their servants! Praise to the Twilight’s Hammer!"

They are motherfucking insane! -Rovdyr 23:30, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, they're loonies. It's obvious that whoever wrote them into the game has had contact with evangelists. For a while I was subscribed (completely by accident) to a narrow-minded newspaper called the "Bible Believers' Bulletin," from some Baptist sect, and I can honestly assert that the True Believer articles are spot-on parodies of these screeds.

It's also not outside of the bounds of possibility that they're a sidelong reference to the Church of the SubGenius, a parody religion that makes fun of such people.

And of course the references to H.P. Lovecraft and the Cthulhu Mythos is pretty clear. Old Gods? C'thun? Sleeping but active beneath Silithus? You could even make some connection between Azathoth and Azeroth, but I sha'n't.

In any event, I added the last of the Decoded Twilight Texts. While I'm not 100% certain that this is all of them, the seven that are listed now are all that I've been sent, and I have had 60 of the things pass through my various charas' hands.--ClemSnide 18:05, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

i dont know how to add people to the member list, but Sab'aoth in netherstorm is an ex member. Truckman1 22:32, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

:Do you have a reference for that? Because he only offers one quest and doesn't say anything about that. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 22:57, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

::In the greeting he says something about "his time with the Twilight Hammer", sounds like an in-joke to something i don't know, but nothing more than that. --Hurax (talk) 06:48, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Clan / cult
Though HPG suggested they were strongly linked, I'm not sure the article makes enough of the split, and how different the cult is to the original clan (e.g. non-orc members). 14:37, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

:What Kirkburn said. I think the article should be split myself, but at least divide them more if they are going to be in one article. The cult has "twilight overlords", twilight lords", etc., while the clan had a chieftain. Pretty much, the cult just took the name and philosophy, but the clan did not "turn" into the cult. It even says that not all of the members are former clan members, then points out that in fact most of the cult is made up of people that were never in the clan. ::They are led by the same guy(s?), and the clan was pretty culty.-- 20:27, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

:::The same guys? Didn't a lot of them die on the Broken Isles and Cho'gall was thought dead until recently. The lore says a few times that the clan was annihilated, destroyed, etc. The cult just found the writings and took the philosophy. The clan didn't decide to become a cult one day and then say okay we are a cult now. Rolandius (talk - contr) 00:39, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

::::Knowing what we know now i disagree that the clan didn't, at least indirectly, become the cult. However the clan is what it was and the cult is something different. There was a change, they are two different things, whether one become the other or not, and i agree with Rolandius that the article should be split, or at least have each entity made far more distinct within the article. 03:20, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

:::::The closest thing you can say, which I read in the RPG, is that the cult is a "spiritual" successor to the clan. I guess it would be indirectly connected but not a real line of succession. The clan was an orc clan mostly. The cult has non-orcs in it and most of the cult doesn't even have ex-clan members in it. Another small bit of info I found just for fun is that the clan had a different name until Cho'gall took over. He changed whatever the clan's name was before to this new name and just became the clan's new chieftain. == Reasons why the Twilight's Hammer clan is growing and building bases. ==

Is the reason in Cata the Cults membership goes up is it because after the Cataclysm happens its easier to recruit and convince people Armageddon is coming after something so devastating like the Cataclysm happens. And is the reason the Twilight's Hammer clan is able to establish all these little bases all over Azeroth is because the Cataclysm causes the Alliance and Horde and other groups not to be able to watch certain areas due to new limited resources? Rimor Conscientia (talk) 06:34, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

:All that could be the reason for their rise in membership. Though apart of their membership rise could because we haven't been watching them lately. I mean think about, with the War in Outland and the War against the Lich King we had our hands full with fighting the Burning Legion, the Illidari, and the Scourge. While we did see Twilight Hammer movement in Northrend, we didn't really find any major Twilight Hammer bases and with our focus centered on the Lich King, we treated the Twilight Hammer like an after thought.--Sairez (talk) 06:43, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

Character Classes
I think Character Classes part of infobox for this faction should be changed to Various, since Twilight's Hammer members are at this point in time from every class in-game (that's including Paladins or rather - Twilight Vindicator). Post your thoughts. Encaitar (talk) 15:39, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

:If it is too numerous, then in my opinion it is best to change it to something like that, in this case.-- 18:53, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
