I believe that there would be enough Mag'har in Azeroth to justify it; if the Warchief gets to be brown (even though he looks more orange than he does brown), why can't we? :::Black is not exclusive to the Grimtotem. I can see why they wouldn't let you be wildhammer or dark iron dwarves cause you never know where the story will go... another war between the 3 hammers could hammer again... and it would be awkward to have a bunch of players as dark iron dwarves (forced to side with ironforge). Orcs... I see no reason why couldn't start having brown skin ones, heck even black skin ones appear throughout WoW and not just the Dragonmaw clan. If they really wanted to they could have designed undead versions of all the races for the Forsaken players to choose from, since they have the Val'kry's and all. A lot they could have done, but it falls down to.. is it worth their time. 08:01, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

Grimtotem skins have become more unique, having red and white war paint. As for the Dragonmaw and Wildhammer tattoos, I think that Tattoo Parlours should be opened near Barber Shops to add those separately from player skins. But on the original topic, I think the Mag'har, Blackrock and Dragonmaw clans' skin tones are unavailable because if added, you'd hardly see any green skinned orcs. Especially on RP realms. It would be new, and it would something the majority would want to beat to death. I mean realistically, Highborne should have paler skin tones than Night Elves, along with hair tones more related to the sun. Similar to Blood Elves, but without red. Not to mention they have no black.

If anything, more customization choices have yet to be added simply because Blizzard has always been so reluctant and hesitant to add more. Why? Nobody knows but Blizzard. People have suggested more skin tones, hair styles, hair colour, etc. for years. We get the barber shop with only a few races actually getting new, *unique* hair styles while others get another races'.

There's enough support lore-wise for us to have much more appearance features than there are now, but it all comes down to Blizzard. Myrlen Midnightstar (talk) 07:54, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

:Character customization has never been one of WoW's strong points, let's just be honest. As far as the Highborne and other elf-related stuff, as well as other cases such as half-orcs and, well, Azshara's model (which will probably be updated in places she appears when they work on an expansion involving her)... You just have to use your imagination I guess. --Bellocois (talk) 08:01, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

::Personally a good game trumps character customization any day... I love the freedom you can have with your characters on City of Heroes / Villains and even Star Trek Online... but the games where clunky and areas became repetitive, not to mention the death penalty... sorry, don't want to have to gain the xp for a level behind me. 08:18, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

::::I don't know the answer to either of those questions, but I did laugh when I heard they were making a Star Trek MMO. I've always hoped WoW would allow us to go where no man has gone before (potentially fun) so we could promote cultural understanding and break cultural taboos through Shakespeare-inspired story arcs (not so much). --Bellocois (talk) 09:58, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Revision as of 09:58, 10 January 2011

Forums: Village pumpWarcraft lore IMO, brown skin should be chooseable for orc players

I believe that there would be enough Mag'har in Azeroth to justify it; if the Warchief gets to be brown (even though he looks more orange than he does brown), why can't we? D: --IconSmall WolvarBig, furry, and insane (Talk with me!) (Stalk me!) 02:57, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
