Mail armor (Some times called Chain Mail) is a type of armor that consists of small metal rings fashioned together to form a mesh, which is then fashioned into coverings for the various parts of the body.

A mail piece designed to cover the chest is traditionally called a hauberk, haubergeon or byrnie depending on its length. Leggings may be referred to as chausses, Hoods are coifs, and hand items mittons.

Mail is worn by hunters and shamans.

Some mail armor sets:[citation needed]

Mail armor contributes to the Mail Specialization passive buff where if a player is wearing it they will get a stat bonus that will go towards their specializaton.

Patch changes Edit

  • 0700Legion-Logo-Small Patch 7.0.3 (19-Jul-2016): Hunters and Shaman can now equip Mail armor from level 1 (down from level 40). Some mail armor items will change to plate armor.
