Edit: Lords of the Emerald Flame was a designation given by [[Velinde Starsong]] when she had a vision of these entities fighting the worgen. There is no way a [[Night Elf]] would not recognize the [[green dragonflight]], therefore, they can not possibly be the [[green dragonflight]].

According to Inv misc book 09 [Velinde's Journal], the Lords of the Emerald Flame are an incredibly powerful enemy of the worgen. They do battle with the worgen on their native homeworld, and Velinde Starsong got to know of this ferocious war through her use of the Scythe of Elune. Apparently, the struggle against the Lords of the Emerald Flame does not go too well, as the worgen found their enemy to be an unflinching one indeed.

"Emerald Flame" may refer to "fel", meaning that the Lords of the Emerald Flame are part of the Burning Legion or their minions/warlocks.

It could also refer to a force of the green dragonflight defending the Emerald Dream from the Emerald Nightmare. This way, the worgen could just be part of the Emerald Nightmare (thus being fought by the "Emerald Flame"). Judging by the true origins of the Worgen, the theory that the 'Lords of the Emerald Flame' are in fact the Green Dragonflight seems to be most likely.
