Objectives

The Lich King has commanded you to eradicate the Scarlet Crusade.

Use the  [Horn of the Frostbrood] to call forth a Frostbrood Vanquisher and with it slay 150 Scarlet Soldiers and destroy 10 Scarlet Ballistas. Avoid incoming projectiles by moving out of their line of fire!

Description

You have slaughtered legions beyond number and still your dark heart craves more. Your hunger knows no end, <name>.

<The Lich King pauses.>

There must come an end to all things, death knight. The Scarlet armies make their final stand against us. For them, there is no escape... no choice. And for this reason they will fight with a ferocity that you have yet to witness.

Use this horn to call forth one of my wyrms. Climb upon its back and command it into battle. With it you will end the Scarlet Crusade.

Notes

Use the  [Horn of the Frostbrood] to call down a Frostbrood Vanquisher, a frost wyrm that functions as a flying mount while in and around Havenshire and New Avalon.

The targets are Hearthglen Crusaders, Tirisfal Crusaders and Scarlet Ballistae. Friendly units in the field of Havenshire are Volatile Ghouls and Rampaging Abominations.

Fire the wyrm's long-range deathbolts by hitting 1. Treat the wyrm as a fighter plane with fixed guns pointing forward. Imagine a targeting reticule about 10 yards in front of the wyrm's horn in line with the center of the rider's chest and the base of the wyrm's horn. The bolts are ballistic and will respect both the angle the wyrm is at when casting and gravity. Long range shots fired into the air will hit the ground a few hundred yards down range. An indication (in the form of a [Hunter's Mark]) will appear when the wrym fires a shot to display where the bolt will hit.

While in the air above New Avalon, always keep moving as there are plenty of ballistae ready to knock unwary wyrms and their riders out of the sky.

When the wyrm finds itself low on health and/or mana, target a random crusader, swoop out of the sky and close to within 15 yards, hit 3 to eat it, and get back into the air while not stopping to limit the damage taken from other nearby mobs.

Completing this quest starts phase 4, the Battle for Light's Hope Chapel. You can also explore the now completely enflamed and empty Scarlet Enclave which has several of the Scarlet Ballistae you just destroyed in heaps of wreckage.
