Shadowfury is a Shadow-based direct damage GTAoE that stuns targets for a short duration. It can only be acquired by investing 21 in the Destruction tree.
Tips and tactics
- As it does not trigger the global cooldown, it gives you 1.5 sec of free time. This time frame can be used to bring off a [Howl of Terror].
- Although extremely mana inefficient for a single target, Shadowfury can be used for kiting.
- For groups the efficiency is comparable to [Blizzard].
Past changes
- Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Can now be cast while moving. Stun duration increased to 3 seconds, up from 2.
- Patch 2.1.0 (2007-05-22): Now properly benefits from the Intensity talent.
Notes
Shadowfury was also a name of a random Demon Hunter in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos.
