This article is a guild information page for Past Tense of Bronzebeard Europe.

The characters and events listed are of an independent nature and applied for roleplaying, fictional, speculative, or opinions from a limited playerbase only. Guild pages must comply with the guild page policy.

Past Tense was founded on 24th September 2007. This was to create a fun & prosperous gaming community for World of Warcraft. We are dedicated to a gamer who likes to have fun, has a sense of community, direction, and is planning on sticking with us for the long run. We expect our members to be mature and work for the benefit of the guild as a whole, and just not for their personal gain.

We are a PvE Alliance Guild and our main goal is to explore the end content of Cataclysm and beyond... Therefore we strive to excel in raiding, the only difference is, that we understand people have "REAL LIVES" outside Warcraft, hence why we Raid at a later time than most other guilds to accommodate those people who have things to do during the day, afternoon and early evening. 10-man Raids usually start at 11pm (Server Time) with a typical run being about 2 hours in duration.

Past Tense was formed on Bronzebeard. It is dedicated towards end game instances, hence we only recruit people with experience and suitable gear. To fill out an application go to the recruitment link. Past Tense - A Brief History Edit

This guild was originally formed by Dorthar and Harpo with a group of friends on the Alliance side on 24th September 2007. After growing to a considerable size they started attempting Karazhan. After which the guild moved onto 25-Man Raids. Within weeks they had their first battle with Gruul as word of their quick progress got around the forums and server, recruitment increased dramatically and weeks later they were farming Magtheridon.

Further ventures into Serpentshrine Cavern ensued. As of 22nd July 2008 Lady Vashj was killed in a guild 1st. Prior to Patch 3.02 Kael'thas Sunstrider was downed on 14th October 2008 with only 10mins left til the Server shut-down.

From there on Black Temple was assaulted as only Past Tense can, and on November 5th 2008 illidan was downed in a guild 1st, Carequinha (Rogue) was the lucky recipient of the Guilds 1st Warglaive of Azzinoth.

11th November 2008, Past Tense finally cleared the final Boss Archimonde from Mount Hyjal. This means all original Burning Crusade Bosses and Instances were fully cleared.

With the re-emergence of Arthas in Wrath of the Lich King the guild was attempting to level and gear up as many raiders as possible. With all the hard work that went into the guild, things could (and did) only get better...

Wrath of the Lich King Edit

Wrath of the Lich King came out with a bang! New and exciting features emerged, with the main emphasis of the guild to gear up, and get to level 80. This was accomplished by a number of individuals in near record time, and experience in the Northrend instances has been achieved by all active Raiders...

It wasn't long before once again Past Tense was back in the flow of 10man Raids - With Naxxramas being cleared in quick succession, also once a core group was assembled, 25man Raids were back on the Past Tense Menu!. As previously stated, Past Tense's goal was to End-Game raid with fun and enjoyment along the way, in a relaxed atmosphere - to which this hasn't changed.

Past Tense's achievements, goals and status improves with each and every week. With the emmergence of the new raid instance known as Ulduar, Trial of the Crusader and Icecrown Citadel, the same commitment & dedication that has been shown during TBC and WOTLK has reaped the rewards duly earned by the raiders and guild alike. Making quick progress and gaining various achievements & Hard Modes along the way.

30th May 2010 - The Lich King (ICC25) finally met his demise at the hands of Past Tense. Through hard work and sheer determination contributed by ALL within the guild, this has now unlocked HEROIC MODE. Upon its 1st venture in Heroic ICC 5 Bosses (Marrowgar, Gunship, Saurfang, Rotface & Festergut) were downed (in only 4 Nights!), thus confirming the commitment & dedication of the guild to the challenges that lay infront of them.

14th July 2010 - The Guilds 1st Shadowmourne was obtained by the Deathknight Shó. Again this was a guild effort in helping with the quests & obtaining the shards required to craft such a legendary weapon. This once again goes to show the drive & commitment Past Tense shows. At this present time, we are on our way to obtaining a 2nd Shadowmourne for Paladin Theostaltos, before Cataclysm launches.

5th August 2010 - The guild went under a management restructure, due to the retirement of Dorthar & Harpo. Taking over the GM reins is Zagnut. He was ably assisted by Officers Airunalmarem & Rutabaga. Also the guild implemented Mentors to also help with the running of the Guild also, as its expansion increased.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Edit

December 7th 2010 will be a day not many in WOW will forget. Deathwing arose from the depths with cataclysmic repercussions. The world of Azeroth changed drastically, with the Alliance and Horde finding they have a new enemy. As with previous expansions new features were implemented, and again with the main emphasis of the guild to gear people up, and get to level 85. With changes made by blizzard however, Past Tense had to move with the times and a dramatic restructure was implemented...

Past Tense v2.0 (PT Reborn!) [10man Raid Guild] Edit

12th January - With sweeping changes regarding the 25/10man Lock-down & downsizing of the guild as a whole. A decision was made to change Past Tense from a 25man to a 10man Raid Guild. The Guild was restructured accordingly & rules changed to accommodate the sweeping changes put in place with Cataclysm.

Sweeping management changes were again made, with Rutabaga assuming the GM reins. Raid Leader lead as always by Airunalmarem. The guild has implemented a small council to also help with the running of the Guild needs also.

As previously stated, Past Tense's goal is to experience End-Game content with fun & enjoyment along the way, in a relaxed atmosphere. Although the Guild has changed with the times, this credence will remain as one of the Guild's Main priorities.

With the drive & commitment from everyone within the guild that remains the same. Hopefully with that in place it's only a matter of time before even the mighty Deathwing succumbs & bows to the might that is simply Past Tense (either that or we'll bribe him with a few sacrificial Gnomes & Space-Goats!!)

Saturday 24th September 2011 - Past Tense celebrated its 4th year anniversary. Its continued existence wouldn't have been achieved without the help of its Past & Present members.

Typical Current Raiding Schedule (EU Start Times) Edit
