Gorillas are a species of ape found in Stranglethorn Vale, Feralas, Un'Goro Crater, and Sholazar Basin. They are typically hostile to any travelers that come across them despite the fact that they are herbivores. An enormous gorilla named King Mukla dwells on Jaguero Island in southeast Stranglethorn Vale, holding a tauren named Princess Poobah captive.

Gorillas are extremely popular for AOE farming. Generally, Beast Mastery hunters develop a "gorilladin" tanking build (high stamina, aggro generation, Thunderstomp, etc.) to pull and maintain the attention of multiple mobs, while the hunter smites with 
[Volley]. Occasionally, the basic pet abilities are turned off to keep Thunderstomp active automatically, while the hunter uses 
[Aspect of the Viper] to both regenerate mana from the Volley and throttle their own aggro.
