I'm just curious. Would a tribe of Orcs ever adopt/take in an abandoned Blood Elf child? Would they ever choose to adopt and raise an abandoned Blood Elf child as one of their own? Under what circumstances would that ever be possible? Would it help if the child was treated as a slave at first, but then completed some honorable task that earned him a place in the tribe? I am trying to think of a back story for my character, but I want it to be something believable in regards to racial culture and the lore of the world. If this is not something Orcs would do for a Blood Elf, is there any other race the child could be where this would be acceptable? Thanks for the help! --Whoajosh (talk) 20:53, May 14, 2011 (UTC)
- I don't see why not, assuming the orcs honor the ties that keep blood elves as part of the Horde. However, I would think the orcs would first try to ask the blood elves, if they would take the child. I would expect there to need to be some very unique situation for orcs to keep a blood elf child and raise it as their own. Enslaving the child would seem to violate some Horde agreement. The only scenario where I could imagine a blood elf child being raised by orcs would be if some isolated tribe of orcs found the child, but could not or did not have contact with the Orgrimmar or any orc Horde representatives.
- Also remember, the term blood elf is more of a political idea than a race, per se, since blood elves are high elves of a particular political allegiance. I don't think there is much lore support for a blood elf child being adopted by non-elves or non-blood elves. If you found some situation in-game where a blood elf child NPC (very rare) were in the care of non-blood elves you could use that as lore support. -- (talk · contr) 14 May 2011 10:42 PM Pacific
