Forums: Index WoWWiki general WoWWiki painfully slow

It seems to be better now, but here's what I sent to Special:Contact:

Everytime I try to go to any page on WoWWiki, it takes several minutes before I can do anything (click a link or even scroll the window). Something is terribly wrong with some underlying javascript or something. Sorry, but I'm too lazy to turn off my JS in my browser and see if that helps. I just don't care enough beyond notifying Wikia.

Nevermind. I thought the problem was persisting after I restarted my browser and the problem still occurred, but I cleared my cache and it went away. False alarm. --Gengar orange 22x22Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 11:04 PM PST 17 Nov 2010
I retract my "Nevermind." It took a few minutes but the problem is back. It took me 10 minutes to post this reply. Clearing the cache apparently only delays the return of the problem. I'm using FireFox 3.6.12 on the Mac and the good news is that it doesn't bring down the whole browser. All my other tabs are perfectly fine. --Gengar orange 22x22Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 11:42 PM PST 17 Nov 2010
I think the good solution is to use Wowpedia ... wow, that was slow. Tongueout Coobra (talk) 09:05, November 18, 2010 (UTC)
Wikia in general has been problematic since Oasis went live. I wonder if it's related. --Kris talk 13:01, November 18, 2010 (UTC)
