When doing the Volcanoth quest on Lost Isles with my Goblin char, after killing the belligerent turtle, the turtle's cave had a cave-in and the entrance was sealed.
To continue the Goblin quest chain I was supposed to look for a Goblin NPC called "Sassy" who I believe was also in the cave.
Instead I used the Hearthstone to return to my home village of Town in the Box.
My Goblin char is now stranded twice over and can't continue with any more quests -- there is no way other than the "Bootrockets" quest to get into the Lost Caldera, where the above mentioned cave is. Even if I could get in, the cave entrance is sealed.
Can anyone suggest a solution? I would not want to have to delete my current Goblin char and start over with a new one.
After opening a WoW ticket I was contacted ingame by a WoW person who was totally uncooperative -- he suggested that I ask for help from other players.
Problem is solved, my UI was fouled up, another GM gave me instructions on how to clean up my UI. My character Votreka has finished her Lost Islands quests and is now in Ogrimmar.
- From what I know of the quest, you should have looked for a plane behind that has the next stage of the quest. If you can't go back and find that plane, it is probably a bug. If you can't get to the next stage, I would open a ticket in-game again and try to explain that you can't get to the next stage of the quest chain because of the problem. Also remember to tell the GM that to point of the game is to have fun and that unfinishable questions do not equal fun. It's not like you want to have them kill a boss for you.
- However, the first GM may trying to be hinting to you that there is another way back into the cave that other players may know. Remember, you can also e-mail Blizzard to complain about a GM, if they were legitimately unhelpful or rude. With WoW getting so big, there are bound to be a few bad apples. -- (talk · contr) 9:46 AM PST 2 Jan 2011
