This is a ruined stronghold in the Hillsbrad Foothills. Once it was the seat of Blackmoore. It was there, that Thrall was kept for a brief time until he broke free and escaped. Currently it is held by the Syndicate and is being used as their base of operations in Hillsbrad
Thrall's stay in Durnholde
After Thrall was found amongst the bloody bodies of his murdered parents by Aedalas Blackmoore, he was taken to Durnholde Keep. There he was raised as a gladiator, with all the savagery of an orc, but with the keen strategic intellect of a human. He was trained and taught by many, wet-nursed by a human woman, and grew to befriend her daughter, Taretha Foxton. Blackmoore beat Thrall and tortured him in the ring. Taretha began to write him letters in his prison, and he wrote back to her. Eventually, he wrote to Taretha that he would escape. Taretha created a diversion while Thrall escaped from his cell. They met up outside the fortress, and Taretha gave him provisions and supplies. He then left Durnholde, hoping to never return again.
Under Development
The Caverns of Time in the Burning Crusade will allow you to travel back and visit it in its original state.
