- Mages are unique in their ability to store mana for future use without alchemical aid.[1]
- "Typical magecraft, to conjure a thing of such beauty only to sacrifice it." - Raesa Morningstar[2]
Mages can conjure mana stones that store mana for later use. Mana stones are soulbound, and cannot be traded to other players. They are unique, meaning that a mage can only carry a single stone at a time regardless of rank. When used, the stone instantly restores mana, similar to a mana potion with its own 2 minute cooldown. Mana stones are not considered conjured items and do not disappear after logging off for 15 minutes. They also regenerate charges while you are not logged in.
Rank table

Notes
These stones share a cooldown with Warlock Healthstones, but are on a different cooldown than potions. The potion cooldown is the same length, which may be confusing.

- For the Bloodstone ore, see Bloodstone ore.
Blood Shards are said to have been formed by the blood falling from the quilboar's patron demigod, Agamaggan.
Previously dropped from most of the Bristleback quilboar and from mining/herbing in the Barrens, these shards can now only be looted from Bristleback Thornweavers. These shards no longer have a purpose.
History
Source
They can frequently be found when mining copper and tin veins in the Barrens. They also drop from the following mobs:
Objective of
- [21] Blood Shards of Agamaggan
- [20] Agamaggan's Agility
- [20] Agamaggan's Strength
- [20] Razorhide
- [20] Rising Spirit
- [20] Spirit of the Wind
- [20] Wisdom of Agamaggan
Notes
Blood Shards can be turned in to Mangletooth, a caged Razormane quilboar in Camp Taurajo for a variety of quests. You must complete [21] Blood Shards of Agamaggan first. After completing that one, you can get any of the other 6 quests.

- For the rare spawn drake mob, see Jade (drake). For the pandaren, see Jade (pandaren).
Jade is a raw gem. It is naturally rich with life and color, making it the perfect raw material for animating companions from the stone.[3]
In Pandaria, jade is used to build a single massive statue for the August Celestial Yu'lon, so that she can reincarnate through them around every 300 years.
Source
This item can be found in Gold Veins, Tin Veins and Iron Deposits everywhere. It is also a reward from the quest Find Agmond. It is also dropped from the elite mobs in Dun Modr. (As of patch 2.3, the elite tag has been removed from Dun Modr mobs.)
[Prospecting] [Tin Ore] (low chance) or [Iron Ore] can also yield Jade.

Tips and tactics
Don't wait until you're out of mana to use a stone. In a fight that will be more than two minutes long, use your first charge early in the fight, after you have used enough mana to use the stone and not over-restore mana. A second charge will be available before the end of the fight.
Since all potions share a cooldown timer, you can use this instead of a mana potion that would put the health (and mana) potion on the cooldown timer. If you always uses your mana stone before your mana potion, you have quicker access to your health potion.
[Conjure Mana Emerald] creates three stones per creation, so if you have used your last stone during a long fight, you could immediately create three more with the intention of using at least one more stone during the fight. Doing this can lead to a net mana gain. An even larger mana gain could be achieved with the use of the [Serpent-Coil Braid].
[Glyph of Mana Gem] increases the ammount of mana gained from stones by 40%. Two pieces of Frostfire Garb increases the mana gain by 40% and grants you +225 spellpower for 15 seconds after using the mana gem.
