If traveling to the town and below 70, be warned that the guards may not always protect you. Specifically, ranged attacks can be performed further away than the guards' aggro range. For example, hunters can shoot you from far enough away that they will not aggro the guards. This occurs frequently in front of the inn. Also a popular method for killing lower levels is to have a priest enter combat and fear away all the guards, leaving lower levels relatively defenseless at the hands of level 70's.

Cenarion Refuge

Cenarion Refuge

Cenarion Refuge is a neutral faction town in Zangarmarsh. The town was originally founded by the Cenarion Circle, who came to Outland to study the local flora and fauna. Their presence became so large in outland, that the Cenarion Expedition was formed as Outland's sub-faction of the Cenarion Circle.

The city is fully functional, with a mailbox, an inn, a general goods vendor, trade goods vendor, armor repair, cooking and fishing trainers, as well as many quests. However, Cenarion Refuge does NOT have a flight master; Alliance players can fly to nearby Telredor and Horde players to Swamprat Post instead. Players start out at neutral with the Expedition, but reputation gains are very generous. There is a repeatable turn-in quest to help players progress from neutral through honored by turning in Inv misc flower 03 [Unidentified Plant Parts] to Lauranna Thar'well.
