Shouldn't this be under "category night elves" or something? There are way more sources saying that the highborne were a caste of night elves, not a different race. We might as well say that the noble caste of night elves were a different race too. Rolandius Paladin (talk - contr) 02:14, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

Due to their addiction and use of arcane magic, the highborne became a separate breed of elf and distinct from the night elven race. [1] (S&L 76) [2] (WRPG 45,57) User:Coobra/Sig3 03:37, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
They aren't in the race template or race category though because I remember people agreeing they aren't a race... Rolandius Paladin (talk - contr) 03:55, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
Well, I don't know about that conversation, but the {{races}} template is on the page (as far as I can tell, you didn't add it either). As for the night elf category... although the category is not in it, the main article is, along with high elves... so I think its fine as is. User:Coobra/Sig3 04:18, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
Well if I remember it was in the talk page for the race template that we decided they weren't a race. Also, we don't use it in the race infobox I think. Rolandius Paladin (talk - contr) 04:42, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
Also, I just checked the template and highborne aren't in there because I think we decided they shouldn't. Rolandius Paladin (talk - contr) 04:55, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
I just checked on [1] (S&L 76) [2] (WRPG 45, 57) and they don't say anything about them being a different breed or race. It looks overwhelming that they are a caste only. Rolandius Paladin (talk - contr) 04:41, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
Only one quote out of dozens say anything about "racial lines" and it is from an "adventure" section in an RPG. I don't think one reference should make them a whole race when pretty much all of the sources say they are a caste of upper class night elves.
